Chandni Restaurant — Restaurant in Karachi Division

I had a very disappointing experience at Chandni Restaurant, Pearl Continental Karachi.

I came from Poland to Karachi, my other family members joined from Austria, and the rest of our family lives in Karachi. We invited around 20 guests for dinner, expecting a pleasant evening at what is considered a 5-star hotel restaurant. Unfortunately, the experience was far below expectations.

The seating arrangement provided to us was extremely congested – so tight that our shoulders were literally touching each other. For a premium hotel, this was a very poor first impression.

Since it was a buffet, we assumed it would be fine to move to a different table (as is common practice in buffet-style restaurants around the world). However, the staff approached us in an unnecessarily rude and unprofessional tone, saying: “Why are you sitting here? This is not your designated table.”

Instead of politely explaining that the table was reserved, the staff kept insisting and arguing with me during dinner. I found this extremely disrespectful, especially considering we were their guests.

I have had buffet dinners in many restaurants across different countries, but I have never encountered such unwelcoming and discourteous behavior.

For a 5-star establishment, such treatment was truly shocking and disappointing. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and works on improving customer service, training staff in respectful communication, and ensuring proper seating arrangements for...

Went on 1st september 2022. It was on one of the high floors ( possibly 10th but the lift which goes to chandni resturant was in main lobby and dont have any other option than chandni and ground floor ). Timings are from 7:30pm to 11:30pm. We were 21 adults ( over 12 years count as adults when billing )and 6 kids whom 4 are over 7 years. They charged for adults only. Per person costs Rs 3900 including tax approximately. Main course have 10 dishes. Desserts, salads, chatnis are other than that. Green tea is included in buffet price. No milk tea , coffee and juices are available even if paid separateley. Only mocktails are available in paid options. Taste was above average specially mutton kunna , chicken boti , seekh kabab , karahi , biryani , fish, prawns and naan. Gulab jamun was also excellent. But one thing which should be saw on priority basis is the live music . There is no need of live music. People come to gather and talk with each other. That too loud , continous and bay suraa music nearly ruined the party. Administration should look into this. Secondly each cold drink cane cost Rs 390 plus tax....

Starting from starter like salad you can find in variety, variety of desi dishes like biryani, mutton karhai, pulao, fish attractive thing is live barbecue and variety of desi dessert specially mithai like gulab jamun, rasmalai, kheer, custard, pudding even ice cream.
