City of David Hotel — Hotel in David

A nice stay, but the hotel has some flaws that hopefully doesn't ruin your stay. I sent an email 8 hours before arrival asking if they could clean the AC filter before I arrived. No response, so after 5 hours I called the reception and was greeted by a highly arrogant, incompetent female receptionist with high self-confindence. She insisted that there were no filter to be cleaned in their centralised AC. I told her that all AC has filters that need to be cleaned frequently if they care about their guests, but she insisted that their's didn't. I'm surprised that the training of the receptionists is at this level. Anyway, I asked for a quiet room, and got a room facing the pool with a soundsystem that played party-music the whole day. In the room: Paper cups, no tea, no milk or sugar to add, no water heater except for the coffee machine where the water tastes like asphalt - with parts of old coffee released when you try to heat water. Also, the pool and outdoor area closes at 6pm and is effectively for children which had a superb time! Breakfast is a little bit lame. No vegetables available. I stayed 4 night is this hotel and it could not have been any better. From the front desk i was greeted by and pleasant women name Zuleima. She was smiling and was always there to help with all my needs. My room had a seal on it assuring me the unit had been cleaned from top to bottom. The cleaning person Guadalope A she kept my room sparkling and when I asked for more towels, she replied with a big smile how many?|The food in the restaurant was very fresh and delicious. The fried Calamari was the best I have ever eaten. (I want the recipe ) . All of the staff in the restaurant were very attentive and kept my water full. The food came out fast.
