Hotel Los Rivera — Hotel in David

We are a family that travels a lot inside and outside Panama, I am Panamanian lawyer, my husband is a Canadian Entrepreneur and we have 2 kids. ||||We had being clients of Hotel Los Rivera since their opening a year ago, and in the numerous occasions we had chosen to stay here, every single time the experience has being exceptional, the attention of the owner and her personnel, is incredible even by American standards. The owner is readily available and is fully bilingual and the personnel can speak perfectly acceptable English. The restaurant is very nice, the food is good and the prices reasonable.||||We sincerely recommend this family operated hotel, and invite others to enjoy the beauty of Panama in the safe environment of Hotel Los Rivera with their always helpful, happy, positive, English speaking and attentive personnel. Stayed at the Los Rivera hotel during the Feria of David because every other hotel was booked. I have to say that the service was wonderful. They have 2 great outdoor terraces on the second and third floor with free WiFi. That's the best part of the hotel... I don't know if it was because the place was so full but we generally went without water. We had booked 2 rooms and had to change both because there was no water. In the secod room, I had to wash using wathever I could squeeze out of the sink! Also, note that a sign in the washroom said you couldn't flush your toilet paper. It was 105 degrees in David. You can just imagine the smell in the hallways... Also note that this hotel is pretty isolated from a lot of the action in David so consider that when planning on staying there. A little above average for a cheap Panamanian hotel. I spent 4 nights. Very quiet since it's really not near anything, but between the old downtown and the new shopping areas. Easy enough to get to anywhere in David. Some rooms large, some small. All mostly empty as you get a bed, a chair, an endtable, and a bathroom. That's it except for a six foot long slatted shelf to put luggage on. Very nice, clean restaurant with decent food and and good service but it took quite a while to actually get your food. Friendly and helpful staff but their English is as bad as my Spanish. One room door would not lock and another room had no hot water but they changed both rooms for us immediately...
