My friends and I stayed here as part of a tour group. |We googled the hotel before arriving and it looked fabulous. However upon arrival we were highly disappointed. |We had all arrived from Mancora off a night bus and were very thirsty in the heat. The hotel didn’t seem to have any water that they could offer or sell to us. |The pool is so cold that half of us didn’t dare to go in which was a real shame as the surrounding area doesn’t have much going for it. The rooms are basic, with sloppy paintwork on the walls, stains on the sheets and marks all over the windows and mirrors, and the room doesn’t seem like it’s been dusted in a long time. The curtains are full of brown stains and the room smelled a little musty. |By 5pm there was no hot water left for a shower. There are no bath mats in the rooms so the floor was soaked after we had attempted a shower, and the bath tiles are taped on. |Our friends in another room told us they have a fridge with a foreign plug which doesn’t fit in the outlet so it was pointless in being there. ||We slept well, the beds are comfy, however breakfast was a disaster. |When I arrived there were 5 people waiting for their food. |It only took 5 mins for the lady to take my order (they only serve eggs and bread.) I asked for scrambled eggs, which came out half an hour later after 3 new tables joined and got theirs first. I was given tea bags and I asked several times for hot water which also came out half an hour later. |The whole group got everything little by little. A friend got her bread 40 mins after her eggs, once breakfast was finished as she had to run into the kitchen and ask for them. I’m a restaurant manager and 4 tables is nothing to stress about especially when all you serve is eggs and bread. ||The coolest thing about this place is the dog and the tortoise, but other than that I wouldn’t...

What you will find are clean rooms with fresh towels provided daily, hospitable staff and nice views. We stayed here for a week when we came to Huanchaco for a wedding. Our room (this type of room is called a "matrimonial") had a king size bed, balcony, refrigerator, tv and table and chairs. It felt spacious and comfortable for a week-long stay.||||The hotel is walking distance from everything in Huanchaco, but if you want to hop on a bus or hail a taxi, you can do that right outside. The bus ride to Trujillo costs s/2. Taxi ride from the airport is quick and shouldn't cost more than s/10.||||Remember that in Peru you must buy bottled water or bring a water filter. You can't even use tap water to rinse your mouth after...
