If you are looking for a great stay while you are visiting Lima, don't hesitate to book the Fairfield in Miraflores.||In February I finished and extended holiday stay, which started on Christmas Day, at the Fairfield Miraflores. This was not the first time I have stayed there, and won't be the last for sure, since the Fairfield in Lima is my home away from home and all the Staff always make sure I feel welcomed and part of the family.||Generally speaking, all the Staff I had contact with at the hotel were very professional and extremely friendly, but there are a few that merit a special mention. First and foremost, I would like to mention the Front Desk Staff which would always greet me warmly and with a smile including Scarlet, Mari Carmen, Karin, and Marylin.....thanks to them for always making me feel like I was at home. ||Next, I would like to mention the two main Room Stewards, Walter and William, which made sure that my room was perfect night after night after night. Even though he was moved to different duties, Walter, who has been my Room Steward on several of my previous stays, made sure he trained William and followed-up with me frequently to make sure everything was perfect with the room. Additionally, several times during my stay they would leave goodies and notes, and for my Birthday they, and all the hotel Staff, went out of their way to decorate my room, leave some goodies, and gave me a gift which was very nice and unexpected. My room was always imaculate and in perfect condition.||Finally, I cannot finish my review without mentioning the Operations and Restaurant Managers Pedro Castillo and Diego Durand who I have known for some time now since I have been coming back to the hotel for a couple of years. Both Pedro and Diego were very professional and always were on top of things to make sure the hotel and restaurant were running perfectly. At the restaurant, I would also like to make special mention of the staff that always made sure I was taken care of. They include Junior, Antonio, Nicole, Kenneth, and Lucero. Thank you for always making sure the food I ordered was perfect and just like I liked it.||In closing, I would like to thank all the Staff at the Fairfield, both mentioned here and not mentioned alike, for all the caring and help they have always given me and for always going out of their way to ensure that I was taken care of and having a...
Read moreI’ve stayed at this hotel multiple times and service has gone down hill and I won’t be back. I did two trips within one month. The first stay, I went to eat at the restaurant and was completely ignored and left waiting for 15mins when it was fairly empty. So I got up and left. The second stay, the AC didn’t work in the middle of the summer season. It had turned off 4 times already. After having to go downstairs because my phone call was not answered I was told don’t worry myself (the front desk agent) and my coworkers will be attentive and make sure the AC system doesn’t turn off again. 5 minutes later it turned off. It was too hot in the room. After arriving 7hrs later than excepted due to flight delays and being there less than 24hrs I had to repack up my stuff to change rooms. I also had used a Marriott gift card for this stay which they didn’t charge until weeks later even though I disclosed the amount it had on there at check in AND check out. They took a picture of the gift cards at check in. I presented a different credit card at check out because I wanted the rest of the charges to be on only one card. Weeks later I have an additional charge on the card I left for the security deposit with no email, no explanation, no invoice or receipt when I already paid for the stay. It required me to call an international number to ask what was going on. My call was answered by Samantha, who just stated policy and didn’t apologize. They had made a mistake at check out and charged me less so they simply used the credit card on file without even informing me to charge the missing amount. Very unprofessional considering that I was very transparent with the amount on the gift card and let them know since check in time about it. I was charged in the currency of soles so to me when I presented my credit card at check out I was confident they charged everything. In general, customer skills of these front desk...
Read moreIn general the hotel and staff is good. The poor rating is based on the fact that they double charged me for two nights and did not pay it back. At check-out they collected the credit card guarantee whilst I had paid the hotel charges by bank card at the check out date. When I found out a few days later, I have contacted them and, after a reminder, they only reacted and asked to send proof again (which I had already sent). Then they needed time to look at it and after a reminder I eventually went their physically and they said that I needed to wait another two weeks so that they could cancel the credit card collection (which supossedly would take 30 days from the event date). So, I left in good trust and, two days after arriving back home (which they were aware off), they mailed that I had to inintiate this with my bank which is complicated as they told me and may likely not result into getting it back. Fairfield makes their problem into your problem in such a scenario, they hide between internal procedures, I can only assume that they try to demotivate you from claiming back what you are entitled too. This is seriously wrong and highly unprofessional. I still have not received back my money today, in the meantime I have spent many hours on this which is totally unnecessary. This has left a very bad taste and would not recommend booking a hotel with Fairfield because of such behaviour...
