Room was very clean! Nice size. Modern. Check in was seamless & I booked via Priceline. The gym was small & the indoor pool looked a little shallow but both looked pretty nice & updated with the essentials. It took about 35-45 minutes (traffic) from the airport but the location seemed pretty central to lots of beautiful restaurants & shopping. A gentleman was trying to help me plan a tour but instead of focusing on me he kept helping guests. There were others around that he could have asked for assistance but didn’t. Of course there was the language barrier. I left but he did follow up with a call to my room. The breakfast buffet was nice although they didn’t have a bunch of things I liked. I loved the bottled juices including the 2 “detox” concoctions. I did notice the waiters greeting & offering additional service to other patrons while ignoring me which was off putting. Particularly because when I left the cashier stopped me to pay because apparently it was not included with my room. Which meant they were paying enough attention to me to catch me before I left but NOT to offer service. Oh—I also had a guest over. After we got to my room the front desk called to have them bring their identification to the front desk. I was appalled. If this is customary it should be said at check in. Again the feeling that I was being monitored. Lastly— the 2 times I walked into the restaurant downstairs the staff did not greet nor acknowledge me. Multiple workers saw me standing errantly but turned away. Unsure if it was my appearance or if this is their...
Read moreWe had the best experience at Aloft Miraflores—even though our trip took an unexpected turn when our son injured his knee and we had to cut our PeruHop itinerary short. The front desk staff went above and beyond, helping us locate crutches, find a laundry service, and making us feel like we were the only guests in the hotel. Their kindness and attentiveness were deeply appreciated during a stressful time.||Our room was incredibly comfortable and perfect for our son’s recovery. The blackout blinds were a dream—especially after long travel days—and gave us all the rest we needed. Possibly one of the best showers in the whole country of Peru. The indoor pool was amazing for our son too. ||The highlight of our stay was spending time at the WXYZ bar and restaurant. Daniel and Ingrid were not only amazing conversationalists, but they made us feel completely at home. Their food recommendations were spot-on, and their warmth and humor turned our evenings into cherished memories. We highly recommend grabbing a Coca-Cola and asking them about their lives—they are beautiful souls who made us tear up when we realized we wouldn’t see them again the next night.||Special kudos to Ingrid, whose English is flawless (possibly better than mine!), and to Daniel for the ice-cold tequila drinks my husband loved and the local tips that made our short stay unforgettable.||Thank you to everyone at Aloft Miraflores for your incredible hospitality and for sharing such a remarkable team with us. You turned a difficult moment into a beautiful experience, and we’re...
Read moreWe were only supposed to stay here for 2 days but when our Airbnb reservation was a complete failure, we ended up here for about 20 days. With an infant, toddler in tow, this place met our needs. They had a crib and highchair for us. Staff- ALL were friendly, helpful, efficient and great. Manager was great and kept our rates the same the whole entire stay. When we called for something from our room, we got help immediately whether it was a quick clean up, more towels, take the trash out or reheat some food. Location - very convenient and it was easy to get rides to wherever we needed to go and with many restaurants and grocery stores within walking distance. Cleanliness- very clean hotel and met my standards especially with a baby in tow (crawling and touching everything) and Covid worries. Breakfast buffet - if you stay more than 3-4 days then obviously you will start to get tired of the food as it does not change much. In room amenities - they gave us free bottles of water daily and had good in room amenities and toiletries. Entertainment - did not particularly enjoy the in room remote but we were able to use our Netflix. Exercise room - clean. Pool- heated, indoor and clean with towels. Hotel vibe - hip, minimal but functional, and modern for all types of guests including families. Suggestions: remove the decorative room rug, better in room chair, add variety to hot food for breakfast (to cater to those who stay longer) and add more quiet space - work stations for those who are...
