Mancora Apartments — Hotel in Máncora

Mancora Hostel (aka Mancora Apartments) is truly a hidden gem in the world of traveling accommodation. If you want peaceful solitude and natural beauty in an expertly decorated spot, look no further. The value and amenities included in the apartments are unrivaled; they have everything you might need for a long stay situated in paradise (i.e. full kitchen, plenty of storage). The sunsets of Playa del Amor are remarkable and the apartment deck makes for an ideal viewing point. You are directly on the beach, you can't get any closer! Wind surfing is a common occurrence on the nearby beach and you'll see local fisherman throughout the day. The owner too, Julia, is a diamond in the rough and made the entire experience memorable with her help and attention to detail. Should you not want to cook, there are a few good restaurants immediately next door and a fun bar with live music (Psygon). There's many cheap (5 soles) mototaxis nearby if you want to go to town for surf lessons but you may never...

Unfortunately my experience in this hostel was a very bad one. Cannot recommend this hostel if you are arriving to Mancora by night bus. They didn’t let me in until 9am and I was forced to spend the night from 4am on on the shady streets. Felt very unsafe. I woke up with my arms and feet like in the picture. Also, the Wifi doesn’t work in the dorms. Even though it’s further outside of town you would think you can enjoy a little more quietness. But It’s right next to a party hostel which means you get to experience the disadvantages like extremely loud noise at night. But the worst was the unsympathetic lady behind the counter, who yelled at me for entering the kitchen even though I haven’t checked in yet, let me wait 5 minutes literally in front of her before she told me the Wifi password because she was cooking. She is the exact opposite of a good hostess and constantly gave me a bad feeling. This woman should not be working in...

A chill pretty hostel at playa del amor. Although it’s a 10-15 minute walk from city center, at night you can have some noise from the party hostel that’s next door (at least in the dorms you hear it). The location itself is has a beautiful sunset view every evening from the roof terrace. There is a tiny pool, a shared kitchen and also restaurant service if you would like.
