Hotel Maximo's — Hotel in Tacna

I came across Maximos on the advice of the tourist office, and found that it to be clean and welcoming. The tariff also appealed, given that we had a tight budget. We were impressed by the internet facilities (2 free desktops and free wi-fi on every floor) as well as the good bathrooms and the minibar. Our rooms did not have the most luxurious of decor, but in comparison with Peruvian standards, it was impressive.||The location is central, but not in a stunning location - still less than 5 mins from the Plaza de Armas. ||One niggle would have been the breakfast - which was cheap, but very basic, effectively jam, bread and bitter Nescafe. Gute Lage und theoretisch gute Ausstattung. Aber: das W-LAN funktionierte 90% der Zeit nicht, warmes Wasser gab es den Großteil der Zeit nicht. Darauf wurde an der Rezeption entgegnet, dies sei noch nie passiert. Es wird mit einem gutem Frühstück geworben, dafür soll man am Abend des Vortages angeben was man auswählt und die gewünschte Uhrzeit (zwischen 7:30-9:30) und ob das Bringen ins Zimmer gewünscht wird. Wir entschieden uns wie einige andere für 7:30. Ab 5:30 war Geklapper von Geschirr und Besteck hörbar und wir ziemlich früh wach. 7:55 nach mehrmaligem Nachfragen (unsere Kinder hatten Hunger und bekundeten das mit Nachdruck) wurde uns gesagt wir hätten doch für 9 Uhr bestellt. Die anderen Gäste erhielten frühestens 7:50 das Frühstück und konnten dies teilweise nur noch teilweise herunterschlingen. Beim bezahlen bemängelten wir, das die beworbenen Auststattungen nicht geliefert wurden und bekamen 10 Sol erstattet. Das hat bei weitem nicht die kalte Dusche für unsere Kinder und das fehlende W-LAN , was für uns essenziell war...

Llegamos muy de madrugada a Tacna y la recepcionista nos atendió con mucho gusto, lo malo de la experiencia comenzó al llegar ala habitación, tenia un fuerte olor a humedad, el baño estaba con hongos en el techo y en las diversas zonas, nos despertaron los fuertes golpes de construcción que provenían de la cocina del hotel a las 9:30 am, mi novia necesitaba unirse a una reunion virtual que tuvo que realizar con el internet movil ya que nunca pudimos conectarnos a ninguna de las 4 redes del hotel, se les agradece la tv cable y las toallas. La habitación nos costó 120 pen y estuvimos de 5 am a 12:30 pm, señalamos las molestias a la administradora y nos realizo un descuento de 10 soles, pequeñas refacciones lo podría dejar como el hotel de tres estrellas que anuncian, pero en el estado actual solo...
