IGNACIO'S place DORM & TRANSIENTS — Hotel in Bacolod

Stayed here for 2 nights in room 5 (I think)

Arrived early having taken the ferry from Iloilo, but the room was ready and the staff let me check in. The room is basic. There's a double bed, a table and a plastic chair. There's also shelfs and a wardrobe. There was AC in the room and it worked well. The bed had a firm mattress, two pillows and a thin sheet for the cover. I had to turn the AC warmer otherwise the sheet would've been too thin. The bathroom was also basic and everything works, albeit hot and cramped. There's also Wifi, which is fast and reliable.

Location wise, it's pretty far from the centre, although it's walkable in maybe 25 minutes. There are jeepneys that ply the road on Burgos Ave and go all the way to SM Mall.

Overall, the hotel is comfortable and about right for the price paid. The staff are nice and friendly. The reason I'm giving it 3 instead of 5 stars is the employee "E". He kept asking me for money. The same "E" agreed to take me to the Ruins and back. On the way back, the tire got a puncture. To add insult to injury, I had to pay for my own Tricycle to get back...

Room had all the basic things you need like dental kit, soap, towels. The room was a bit small but it was clean and had good quality of linens, pillows and towels. The staff were really friendly and helpful. I checked out at 5AM to catch a 7AM flight and kuya arranged a transportation for me to make sure I made it on time for my flight. There is a nearby 7/11 plus lots of local stores in the area. The place was also walking distance from the main road. Not the nearest option to tourist areas but a good option to consider if you are looking for an affordable and comfortable place to stay in Bacolod. Breakfast was included and free drinking...

Metal gates in front. Property has a private home on one side and room rental on the other side. Received Room #1. Clean mattress, white sheets, and white towels. Soap and shampoo. Toilet paper. Instant hot shower head with great heat adjustment. Soft water spray shower head. The toilet is very close to the sink. Not recommended for large belly people or elders. Noisy air conditioner sometimes. Quiet location away from the city center. 10-15 minutes walk to stores. Booked on Agoda. 850 room + 102 tax/fees = 952 pesos total. 1 USD...
