Located right in front of the Bacolod Government Center, Splash Park is very accessible to city residents as most resorts are located at the outskirts of the city whether it's a beach or a mountain resort. However since it's right along the busy circumferential road, there's typically alot of traffic at rush hours.
There's limited parking right inside the gate next to a hotel that's still in construction. Entrance fee is currently discounted at 300php, which is reasonable, but the regular price of 500php per pax might be a little too steep for the average family given the limited amenities.
Several huts/cabanas are available for rent, which I also find a tad bit expensive since it's on top of the entrance fee. "Cheaper" huts are available but they are located out in the garden area far away from the pools and not even in view of one. The bleachers were offered to us as a temporary shelter from the rain, but this too is not exactly in view of the pool and you can't really leave your things there. If you do belated decide to rent a hut, you're forced to walk all the way back to the main cashier next to the entrance to transact. I hope management considers to put in a separate cashier for hut rentals within the pool area to make it easier for the guests.
a few lounge chairs along the pools are available for free use, but they do not provide any shade from sun or rain. This set-up made it difficult for us (a small group of 3) to enjoy swimming since one always had to stay at guard our belongings. Hopefully they can also provide some sort of lockers for guests.
There are a few food stalls around the pool areas and a few more out near the gardens. The only sit-down restaurant inside the Park is JT Manukan. All of which are reasonably priced. I should note that no outside food is allowed inside unless you're renting a cabana. Water tumblers (non-glass) are permitted though.
There are basically three pools and a "flowing river", None of the pools get too deep, so it's really geared for children and teens, though adults can find some fun with the large slides. Lifeguards on duty were also very attentive. However the water for the slides, jungle gym, and river isn't always turned on throughout the day, which I find unfair as ticket prices remain the same whatever time.
apart from the pools, there's a typical 90's style metal playground in the gardens. Not the safest really, just be sure to supervise over young kids.
Hoping to see more amenities and improvements to the park to justify their regular price...

Staffs seemed dismissive and for a newly opened park, the flooring has already posed as a safety hazard as the tiles were uneven and loose. There were many times throughout the evening that we found the tiles being so uncomfortable when walking as it would sometimes be pinching on our skin when we walked on the uneven ones. A tile in the swimming pool was also cracked. Tbh, for such a huge water park, there's limitation in rides and the rules are literally quite unreasonable.
Upon entry, we were told not to bring in our soft drinks that were in 1L plastic bottles. The security guard at the entrance said that we could instead buy the mineral water that was sold in the park. However, a lady at the ticket counter said that it is due to the agreement the park had signed with the environmental agency or somewhere along the lines where they were aiming to be environmentally friendly. I feel like there's so much contradiction with regards to the rule of bringing in bottled water bottles as they are still selling it in the park.
The signage at the entrance stated “Guests are welcome to bring water bottles provided that they are not glass containers.” Reading the announcement, the intent of the message is to explain how glass containers will pose as a safety hazard for individuals in the pool, with no explanation on plastic bottles. Additionally, “water bottles” is an umbrella term that includes plastic mineral bottles and...
Read morewe came here for a family vacation, but it was absolutely disappointing. altho the experience with the slides was overall great, a few things I hate abt this place is that they don't allow you to bring beverages. (that's reasonable) BUT NOPE. NOT EVEN YOUR OWN WATER CONTAINER (WHICH WAS THE MOST IMPORTANT NECESSITY OF THE TRIP). who in their minds restrict people to bring water containers? you think a water bottle can be enough to hydrate you the entire 8HRS of your time? that's the reason why we bring big containers. ugh. and guess what, we ate lunch with absolutely nothing to quench our thirst. we had to walk ALL the way to the canteen js to buy a whole pack of softdrinks and back to our cottage. which cost obviously half our pocket money.🕴🏻
their spiral slides in the kiddie pool kept making us stuck inside it, since there's no water current pushing us down. goodness we had to crawl out of it.
OH and when it was time to go home, we couldn't find any shower room and js took one by the pool using the showerheads. then walk ALL THE WAY back to their bathroom js to change. so that sucks:/
js wish they change their policy at least (especially with water containers being an...
