I've made my reservations to this inn via Agoda for dates Dec 26 to 27. There were 3 of us: my husband, our son and I.||Upon check-in, I've made sure to pay the amount due because that's what I've made for my booking (ie. Pay at the hotel) and I want to settle everything immediately. We came from Sagada at that time so you can imagine how tired we were.||When we got to our room designation, Room 5, our son went to the toilet on which I assisted him. I was so horrified to see that the water flowing was so murky. It's as if it came from a filthy water tank. See attached photo. My husband was so irritated that he went down to Reception and report it. He was told that they have already ordered water delivery, meant to replace the current water supply, and that it'll be fixed by 8PM. We waited until 9PM but it was not fixed. Good thing my husband bought a gallon of drinking water, which we used for toothbrushing and washing our faces.||There were other incidents that followed:|- There weren't any towels in the room; and,|- Cable TV was not working properly.||Again, my husband had to go down to Reception to claim our towels. What surprised us was, reception asked him for how many?!! I mean, I saw the booking monitor at the reception area...I'm sure it says 3 so no need to ask. To our dismay, we were only given 2 towels.||The next day, water flowing was already clear. So we were able to finally take a bath!||Afterwards, we went down for breakfast --- which was part of our accommodation --- and offered 'silog' varieties (or the typical Filipino brekkie composed of viand, garlic rice and egg). The other table, I saw, was given with garlic rice as expected. But when our orders came, we were so surprised to be given with 'plain white rice'! I've had it! I asked why. I am looking at the other table and they have what's promised (which is silog). "Roger", the attendant, who seems to be the all around guy --- room attendant, maintenance, waiter, etc. --- couldn't explain the reason properly. They ended up returning our meals to the kitchen and cooked is garlic rice.||We couldn't wait to check-out because we don't wanna know what other 'epic fails' can happen next.||Summarizing our stay:|Booking - 4 out of 5; it was seamless as it was done via Agoda||Room - 2 out of 5; room was as expected, based on the room pictures in Agoda, but the murky water dragged it down. You can also tell that the room is a run-down.||Service - 1 out of 5; to be honest, I wanna give 5 stars to "Roger" who's been trying to make us comfortable the minute we arrived. But I did see he is overworked and stretched leading me to the impression that they lack staff.||Overall - 1 out of 5; forgive me to say this but I hope they close this down and renovate the inn. As mentioned, it's a run-down and gave us an impression that it's...
Read moreDon't be fooled by the high ratings. People here are not responsive--they do not answer calls, and are not very reactive to issues. When my friends and I checked in, we got there at 1:10pm and the staff said bluntly, "2pm pa check in niyo." We ignored the attitude and understood the standard check-in time, so we waited. We followed up at 1:58pm, and they asked us to wait a bit more since "other guests had just checked out" and they were trying their best to fix the room for us. Mga 2:30 daw matatapos ang preparation ng room; earliest would be 2:15pm. Ang higpit sa check-in time pero pag sila ang late, okay lang? Then, during our stay, their water supply was interrupted. They were able to have it fixed but became unstable again, and was gone again after a while. We could not shower and use the bathroom. We tried calling via the phone/intercom in the room pero walang sumasagot. Hindi rin naman daw nagriring kaya hindi nila nasasagot. So every time we had to ask for something that was supposed to be provided in the first place, we had to go down to the reception and ask. Wala rin silang maprovide na number for us to be able to contact them from the room. Napakahassle! Ang sabi pa, "eh di magcomplain kayo!" Hahahaha! The nerve to say that to a paying guest! Instead of offering alternatives, ipasa kay guest ang burden since bayad naman na yung room, ganun? This is by far the most unhospitable accommodation I have ever...
Read moreAfter our La Union get-away, we went to Baguio. Since we were not familiar with the route going to Iggy’s Inn, we used Google Maps. It was actually easy to spot since it is situated along the highway. ||We confirmed our reservation and got our keys. When we were shown the way to our room, we easily felt at ease. It has a home-y vibe. ||I like their room. It has a nice old rustic feel to it. We had a queen size bed, a cabinet, a thermos, cable TV, and hot and cold shower. There was no aircon. I mean, we don’t need it anyway. The breeze from the trees was already perfect. Wifi is available, just ask one of the staff regarding the password.||Staff was very approachable. When we ordered our breakfast, it was like asking for our mom for it. Hehe. Breakfast was great. I was full and satisfied. I love their daing na bangus. Coffee was good too. Our server gave me plenty of sugar and cream. ||After breakfast, we went for a quick stroll around the area. The place is near several restaurants such as The Korean Palace, Secret Garden, Café Angelo, etc.||If you are searching for a budget-friendly and comfortable place, then I highly recommend...
