Stayed March 7 - March 8 (1 Night) Fresh Luxury Hotel in Bauang, La Union
Reception We did not have any reservations and we just walked-in but prior to going there I already coordinated if there are vacant rooms. Lounge area while waiting for the room was very spacious and comfortable. Reception went smoothly and staff was very friendly and welcoming.
Rooms Rooms are very spacious and clean. A simple welcome greeting is displayed on the TV and you can also check hotel information through it and I find it convenient. AC was working fine and WiFi Connection inside the room was very stable and fast. Complete toiletries were provided. We got a Deluxe Room with a beach view for a very competitive rate.
Amenities This is where you would get your money's worth. For me, this is one of their selling points because not all hotels provide them. This is the first hotel I went to that has a KTV Room. Not only one but three KTV Rooms located on the third floor. All have similar layout and it was spacious. We did not use it though during our stay there. My daughter really loved their Children's Play Area. It was airconditioned, clean and has lot of activities for kids and adults alike. They have various board games, a ball pit and a table tennis table there. Their gym also is airconditioned, spacious and clean. It is located on the 3rd floor facing the beach. So you can literally see the beach and watch the sunset while exercising on the treadmill. Their pool was also recommendable. It is large enough to cater the guests. There are plenty of lounge chairs to use. The pool's water was warm during the evenings so it was a great way to relax even on evenings. Please note that they were using salt water for their pool but it was generally clean and well maintained. Beachfront was also well maintained and waves are more tolerable for swimming.
Breakfast We were greeted by a Filipino buffet breakfast in the morning. Choices for the food was plenty. If I remember correctly there were four viands to choose from (Tapa, Scrambled Egg, Fried Bangus, Ilocos Longganisa). Sadly we might be the last group to have breakfast so the scrambled egg was just enough for one person and it was not refilled during the time we ate. Hopefully they can also consider serving hot chocolate for those few people who do not drink coffee. Overall it was filling and a good way to start the day.
We enjoyed our stay here and we will definitely stay here again when in La Union. Generally the place is new and fresh and has competitive rates.
PS: The sunset here is great and you will get a full and...
Read moreI would absolutely love to book again at the Hudor Restort. It was one of the best places my family and I went to!||First of all, the location was splendid. The sand was very fine and the beach waves were the absolute definition of serenity. The calming ambience was such a game changer. There were no loud music at all despite the fully booked schedule. ||The rooms and the complimentary amenities did not disappoint at all. The whole place was clean , neat, and tidy all the way up to the beach.||The special thing about this place are the staff. They are very friendly and generous when it comes to providing amenities and services. ||Whenever you let them clean the room, they always change the supplies they give and alter them with a new one. They generously add free slippers that you can bring without any charge. ||The towels they provide even comes with different pairs. They don't mix up the towels you use for the beach and the pool to the towels you use inside the resort when you're bathing. ||An experience of this friendliness was that I was recently working on a academic project, when suddenly there was a need to save up for electricity. It was late at night so I understand for that need. Then, they made me feel special, they only swtiched the light on at my place while I work at their cafe.||Another one too is when my father earlier in the morning, spent his time looking for wood to use it as a firewood for the next day (the day we check out) . He found one and got satisfied. However, later on the staff arrived with a larger firewood that they voluntarily provided. How observant they are to the needs of their guests.||Lastly, the price range was really worth it, in Filipino, "Sulit na sulit." Nothing beats a welcoming resort that doesn't charge breakfast meals. ||To sum it all up, it was a peaceful, welcoming, and generous. We hope to...
Read moreDisappointing Experience Due to Poor Management of HOTEL MANAGER
I recently stayed at Hudor, and I must say, my experience was far from what I expected, primarily due to the behavior of the HOTEL MANAGER. As a guest, I was looking forward to a relaxing getaway, which included enjoying the hotel’s pool. However, my excitement quickly turned to disappointment when I overheard the manager telling my guests that swimming in the pool was strictly prohibited.
To make matters worse, the manager’s approach was unprofessional and rude. Instead of addressing the situation privately, he chose to berate the staff in front of guests. It was uncomfortable to witness a manager yelling at their team, which not only created a negative atmosphere but also made me feel uneasy as paying checked-in guest. It was clear that the staff was trying their best to accommodate everyone, and it was disheartening to see them treated so poorly.
Additionally, the lack of clear communication regarding pool rules was frustrating. There was no signage indicating that swimming was not allowed for my guests. A simple announcement or better communication during check in could have avoided this entire situation.
Overall, the combination of poor management and lack of respect for staff led to a very disappointing experience at HUDOR. I hope the management team considers how they treat both their guests and employees in the future, as it can significantly impact the overall experience. I certainly won't be returning or recommending this...
