Go Resort — Hotel in Bauang

This hotel has potential, but unfortunately my experience fell short in several areas that could easily be improved.

The rooms need better upkeep, there was noticeable mold, dust, and the pillows were not fresh. A stronger focus on housekeeping would make a huge difference in guest comfort.

The staff seemed unprepared and often distracted on their phones. With proper training and guidance, they could provide a much warmer and more professional service, which is essential in hospitality.

The atmosphere was also quite noisy. Many guests were using their own Bluetooth speakers, which made it hard to relax. Setting clear rules about noise levels or designating quiet zones would create a more peaceful environment for everyone.

Another concern was smoking. It seemed allowed everywhere, and the smell carried into the rooms. Having designated smoking areas would greatly improve the air quality and overall guest experience.

Lastly, the beach was covered in trash, likely due to a recent typhoon. While that part is understandable, it would have been reassuring to see staff actively working to clean and restore the beachfront, since this is one of the hotel’s main attractions.

With all these negatives combined, I sadly cannot recommend this hotel at its current state. With improvements in cleanliness, staff training, and guest management, it could become a much more enjoyable destination, but as of now, the price does not match the value.

I popped along here now and again for a beer and some finger food. I can't rate the rooms as I haven't stayed here in over 30 years. The place is lovely at night. There's a cool breeze coming off the sea to cool you down. The beer comes in chilled glasses, which is a nice touch. The food I have tried has been quite good. Breakfast, buffalo wings are excellent, as is the bacon wrapped chicken. I haven't tried much else from the menu, but food passing my table always looks good. The waiting staff are honest and eager to please. I left my hat there on two occasions and always got it back later from them, this has become a bit of a standing joke between the staff and I. A nice find! My brother found this gem when almost all the resorts were already reserved. Rates are very affordable. Most of the staff are friendly. The restaurant has great food, it's just that they cannot accommodate cooking requests of ingredients purchased outside the restaurant. The rooms are amazing, I just wish it had more electric sockets as ours only have one and a door and bathroom mat. If you love the beach, this is not the place for you as the waves are super strong it overlaps the rail guards and it feels as though the earth is quaking when the waves hit.
