What We Liked: The resort was very nice and seemed clean. The hotel wasn't very crowded and it seemed as if their weren't many people there. The breakfast is the best meal of the day, everyday the breakfast is something new to look forward to. The staff were respectful and pleasant during our stay. There were four pools; enough for everyone, overall it was a spacious hotel. Nice place to take pictures, family friendly to a point. Free bottled water a day for each guest. The lobby has free wifi. We were glad to know there was air conditioning in the room, and that the bathroom was clean. The airport shuttle is available for guests. You may borrow their umbrellas for free, which is good because it rained many days when we were there. The front desk is able to make your local calls for you. Needs Improvements: The first floor hallway going to the rooms, were poorly lit during all hours. Exposed wiring in the room, mold on hangers, shower door not aligned and wouldn't close properly, one towel rack was falling off the wall. Rooms and hallways need a little maintenance. The lobby was very hot when not raining and bugs were everywhere, could have had more fans or air conditioning for waiting guests. The lobby staircase was slippery due to the moisture outside and the fish pond evaporation. The pool decking warped in many places and potential trip hazards for guests, the 'hot tub' was warm-ish. Lacks designated smoking area... The food for lunch and dinner menus were boring, lacked variety, and in one situation two of three guests experienced food poisoning from potentially the calamanci juice or Westown burger. The food and drink service were very slow. The bread was very stale, and stiff as a bagel. The food edible compared to the more satisfying breakfast. The front desk staff were mostly professional with the exception of misrepresenting their wireless service to rooms (p100 per room) and instead charged us p100 per device, we were given different information from different people... Restaurant waiters need to be properly trained to the caliber that this hotel is attempting to represent. For example, when removing plates from the table, they should do so by not interrupting guests' conversations. Additionally, they should be trained on how to be available but not in the way and not seem like they're constantly hovering over you while you dine. Finally, waiters should be more attentive to guests when guests are trying to get their attention. At times, restaurant staff were huddling together for long periods of time, where they seem to be oblivious to everything around them. The lobby wifi was slow and barely tolerable. Lacks signage to inform guests the actual cost for wifi to the room. Additionally to get wifi working in our room they had to send an IT person from their IT staff, because connecting to the room wifi wasn't very straight forward. The airport shuttle should be free for guests, otherwise the cost for the shuttle per guest each direction to and from the airport was P180 each way. Their in-room phone was frequently unsuccessful in connecting with the front desk. Also, their in-room phone does not allow local or international outgoing calls. Summary~ Our overall stay would have been four stars, yet we couldn't rate it that high, due to the lunch and dinner meals in their restaurant being bland, boring, and giving us food poisoning; As well as the room fit-and-polish of fixtures and exposed electrical being a concern. Lastly, experiencing the restaurants' unconventional waiter/waitress etiquette and slow service distracted from an otherwise pleasant stay.

WARNING READ THIS REVIEW It’s important you read this review and mark it as helpful so more people see it. We had to forfeit the non refundable cost of this hotel to move to a different hotel it is so bad. I hope I can save you so you do not make the same mistake as us! UPDATE: You may have seen the generic response from the hotel below, but it doesn’t actually address anything. They still just want to take your money and provide a terrible service. The family room has no view, no windows in the bedroom and feels like a dungeon. The bedroom literally has no ventilation or windows and so is always musty and damp smelling. We originally asked for a new room and was told no discount, I had to pay the price of the expensive room even though they would move us to a budget room that costs half the price. The “premium” rooms with the pool view are smoking rooms, so people smoke in the balconies, important to note if you don’t like smoke. In addition, the pool has karaoke, which you can hear until early hours of the morning, so be aware of that. There is major building works happening here, the official photos hide it by always taking the angle that doesn’t show it, but they are basically building an entire hotel right beside this one. The restaurant is full of notices saying “no take out, no sharing, no leftovers”. The restaurant served us dirty cutlery. The food was literally inedible, and I believe it would have led to food poisoning if I had ate it. When pointed out the chicken was cold in the middle they microwaved the entire plate destroying all of the food. Couldn’t eat any of it, no refund. Cockroaches throughout room, people probably have confused these for bedbugs in other reviews but there are dozens of small cockroaches and several large ones throughout the room. The hotel is also about 10 minutes tricycle ride from the town so factor that in if you are still going to be booking this place, but really? You’re still considering this place? Basically it’s not a good hotel, you could say it’s dated at best, at worst it’s a misleading scam with the pictures they show. It is no surprise they put the nonrefundable room types when you book. Save yourself and book another place.

Great place to stay in Coron! When we arrived via shuttle van from the airport and waited to check in, we were given a complimentary drink to enjoy - great service. The room was clean and spacious, the bed was comfortable and the shower was as good as you’d expect in Coron. The room was cleaned every day, and the complimentary items like toothbrushes and soaps replaced too. The TV wasn’t great and didn’t pick up many channels or even play the channels it did pick up in HD, but let’s be honest - you don’t visit Coron to watch TV. The pools were good, all four of them. I enjoyed the diving pool, but the shallower pools were nice too. My only gripe is the walking areas outside of the pools. You have to be super careful walking around if you have wet feet, because it is slippery! I’m hoping the resort might make some changes here in the future, as someone could seriously hurt themselves (or worse) slipping over. The restaurant was fantastic, with delicious and well cooked food, and reasonably priced. We had the breakfast buffets and every day the food served was a little bit different than the day prior, and it was all outstanding. Finally, we had some massages while we were at Coron Westown Resort and my partner and I agree that they were some of the best we’ve ever experienced. We left feeling relaxed and ready to sleep. Definitely consider this resort if you’re staying in Coron - I doubt you’ll find better!

1- I have never seen such a low quality service from any four star hotel before. 2- Receptionist not friendly and only gives very basic information when asked. 3- The hotel management and receptionist are not helpful to guest. One of their Australian male guests wanted urgently fly to Manila. They did not help him secure seat in in any regular flying airline telling him that no seats were available. Instead they brokered a chartered helicopter flight for US$ 4000 from Coron to Manila. This is because their share of commission would have been lower if they had tried to book him through regular airlines. We happen to to fly the same day by Skyjet to Manila and to our surprise we found at least THREE vacant seats in our flight. This happened during the Corona pandemic in March 2020. 4- The hotel does provide tissue box or iron in their room. 5- The free tooth brush provided in the rooms is very hard and is only suitable for removing iron rust. It is not suitable for brushing teeth as will damage gums. 6- The hotel does not provide slipper in the room. 7- They provide free towel for using on the beach only if the guest had booked the hotel directly from hotel. If your reservation is made through an agent you need to pay 100 Pesos per day for renting a towel. 8- Their room service has no ethics. We asked for some tea and coffee sachets. The room service aced the sachets in a transparent shopping bag and bright to our room. 9- The rooms are provided with window air conditioner only. 10- The hotel does not provide free internet in the room. Guest needs to pay 100 pesos per day if he wants internet connection in the room. The reason for this is to avoid customer utilize room air conditioner while surfing internet. Instead they provide free internet in non air-conditioned hotel lobby. This is a gimmick to save on electricity. Internet in hotel lobby is vary slow. 11- Their restaurant staff were very friendly and helpful. 12- Sea side rooms are 1000 pesos more expensive than ten mountain side. We booked the Sea side rooms but didn't find any advantage because the sea is about 3 kilometers away from the hotel and doesn't worth paying additional 1000 pesos. 13- The room key is old style (not electronic). The hotel provide only one key per room. This is not convenient. For example if one of the two guest in the same room wants to remain in the room, the key must be placed in the key receptacle I order to activate electric utility for operating air conditions etc. If one of the guests in the same room is sleeping and the second one wants to enter he has to wake up the first guest. This is not convenient. 14- Rooms...
