Family of 4 adults x 2 rooms (206/207), 7 nights stay.||POSITIVES|Staff v helpful.|Pool: fabulous place to unwind as we did for the 1st day or so. Lots of space, depths & shade as required. A lifeguard "appeared" every time someone entered the pol which was a nice touch and would be great for younger families.|Restaurant food (esp. fish/ noodles) were good and same cost as most tourist places in town. Shakes & cocktails expensive though and these can add up.|Collection via airport free shuttle bus was great.|Breakfast was plentiful BUT Asian food - we didn't mind but some tourists won't like it so much. Buffet breakfast so eat as much as you want and it was a lovely thought providing pancakes for our early departure via ferry to El Nido.|WiFi was good throughout with only a few drop outs.|Tuk tuks always 40 pesos each person into town there & back (10/12 mins). Easy to get.||NEGATIVES|Rooms were a bit dated. 206 floor needed repair and A/C was either full on or off - not dealt with by admin. 207 the A/C unit was too loud and we either had to upgrade or suck it up - not good enough. |We loved the pool but witnessed 3 other guests slip over as they entered the shallow end. The tiles were very slippery & we were very wary from the beginning, others weren't so lucky and this is an accident waiting to happen.|We accidentally left some items by the pool area and only got some back. A pair of expensive ear pods & sunglasses never were seen again. This was annoying as the grounds are swept each night so make your own mind up about that.||We suspect that this resort is potentially part of a future, larger living complex & is only being maintained until this is built. However, we did relax & enjoyed the peace & quiet of the pool area away from the bustle & grime...

Really lovely welcoming staff who were genuinely helpful and caring. Everyone here had big sincere smiles. Very nice swimming pool. No problems getting a 10 minute tricycle ride to/from Coron Town at a cost of PNP 30 per person. Complimentary shuttle to/from the Airport was provided. Complimentary buffet breakfast was simple but more than adequate, Our room was well appointed and huge. It had three widely spaced queen size beds on the first floor. On the ground floor it had 2 showers, 2 toilets and a kitchen sink. No idea what the other rooms were like, but ours was a seriously big room. No noise issues of any kind. Beds were comfortable and clean. Room was clean. Coron Town is quite chaotic/noisy and it was great to return to a tranquil retreat at the end of each day. WiFi is meant to be in the pool/public areas only; however we were able to also get it most times in our room. However, in all areas the WiFi connection speeds were pretty poor. Fairly extensive dining menu - or you can grab a tricycle into Coron Town where there are plenty of eateries. At the time of our stay, the Resort was still waiting for credit card facilities to be connected - so payments (including the returnable security deposit that needs to be paid at check-in) had to be paid in cash. This isn’t really a problem as there are heaps of ATM’s in Coron Town. Very good security. I highly recommend this place and would definitely...

The rooms are very nice, big and above average with decor, hot showers and TV. Service for reception, bar and kitchen is great. Room service available for food. The breakfast options are pretty decent, a mixture of everything! Smoking area is round the back of the breakfast area however I saw a lot of foreigners smoking by the pool and bar area and the employees didn't really seem to mind. In my opinion the pool is their best feature! It has a deep 8ft section great for diving, it stretches all around the complex and up one level to the bar connected via waterfall, i saw it being regularly cleaned and maintained daily. All the staff here are very helpful and offer a dirt bike rental service. They can also telephone for taxi if you need. It's in a quiet area away from all the nightlife, ideal for more mature adults. One point to note...make sure you have screenshots/proof of full payment for the hotel booking (if done via 3rd party websites) as my friend booked and paid in full via 'Expedia' and they tried to cheat the hotel, causing them to try and charge my friend an extra 11,000 peso because Expedia didn't...

This review is mainly based on the pool area only, as I haven't seen the rooms. If you pay 400php you get a sandwich and a drink and entrance to the day for the pool. They also provide iced water, which I appreciated as a nice touch. The pool area is very suitable for children to play in as there are several areas of varying depths and some fountains as well. Plenty of opportunities for hide and seek and so on. My 9 year old son and 5 year old nephew had a great time. This is a great place to come for a hot day if your hotel lacks a pool (as ours did) or if the boats are cancelled by the coast guard. The cost of a room is about 3,000php a night (the receptionist showed us the prices) and although the location is a bit distant from Coron Town, I think it offers much better value than many other hotels, mainly due to that swimming pool. You can also call a tuk tuk to take you to the harbour or to eat out. Worth paying less and getting more facilities, in my opinion.

I chose to stay at the Fernvale because I heard that Coron Town wasn't very nice. But actually it is. If you only have a few days in Coron, then I would recommend to stay in town. The hotel is ok. Breakfast very simple. The last day I noticed a sign that they offer cappuccino and other good coffees for breakfast, but the waitresses didn't ask us if we want a coffee. The food at the Caffè is not that great, but all the staff are nice and helpful and the pool is big and nice. We had the rooms outside the housekeeping area and were woken up from noise everyday before 06.00.

Just had a relaxing stay at Fernvale Resort — such a peaceful and secluded place, perfect for a quick escape from the city. 🌿✨ What made it even better? The friendly and accommodating staff who made us feel right at home. The resort is tucked away inside a private subdivision, which adds to the exclusivity and calm vibe. Highly recommended if you're looking for a quiet place to unwind! 💆‍♀️🏞️
