I am currently a resident of Go Hotel Davao and I have been robbed and aggressed in my hotel room in Davao in the hotel premises by 3 individuals reported firstly as people always coming in and out of this hotel. The group of aggressors is made of 5 people. The incident happened on 11/6/2018 around 11:15 pm PH time. The incident was reported to the hotel security and the hotel security head witnessed the incident directly and intercation with my aggressors. I was robbed 16000 PHP and 200$ SGD and due to the negligence and incapacity of the hotel staff and security personal the robbers left the hotel and run away when I informed the security guard to close all the premises and call the police. They left the robbers out of the hotel intentionally. I filled a complaint and thought that the hotel would take full responsabilities on the incidents but what they are doing now is to change the course of story on their favor and even said that my aggressors were my visitor. Nor the hotel management or the security company is taking responsibility to repair the damage caused and the staff has been rude and impolite to me today and even refused to the police to have access to the CCTV. I promise myself to make sure that all the world hear my story till reparation been taken. The hotel staff is now making up story to save their jobs but according to the police analysis the incident is due to security breach and hotel staff negligence. I am on a visit in Davao for business purposes and regret why I found myself in this hotel. The staff has been promising to solve the problem and now are turning their back against their reponsabilities. I have all the prove and police records with me to prove...
Read moreI stayed at Go Hotels Lanang - Davao and had an extremely disappointing experience. After a long flight from the United Kingdom, we arrived at the hotel expecting an early check-in (under the booking name: Roland Fritz Prochina), as has been the standard during my previous visits to hotels across the Philippines.
Upon arrival, the front desk attendant named Christian informed us that no rooms were available. His demeanor was unhelpful and inhospitable, showing a clear lack of concern for our situation. Adding to our frustration, we watched as several guests checked out and others arrived, receiving immediate access to their rooms while we continued to wait. We were not offered any apologies, refreshments, or any form of interim accommodation.
This level of service is unprecedented in my extensive experience traveling in the Philippines. Whether staying at 5-star establishments or more modest 3-star accommodations, I have always encountered welcoming and accommodating staff who strive to meet guests' needs. The treatment we received at Go Hotels Lanang - Davao was not only disappointing but also completely out of line with the high standards of hospitality that the Philippines is known for.
I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone and hope management takes serious steps to address...
Read moreI stayed at this hotel from Nov. 8 to 11 August 2024. The first room we were put in had no bath towels. Inferior towels were brought after 3 calls and 6 hours after the first call. I took a fall in the shower because there was no bath mat and hurt myself badly. Meanwhile, we also knew that the air conditioning was not working. |We were moved to another room. Room 616 on the 6th floor. There, a workman was removing pieces of tile floor in the stairwell from 9 AM until almost 6 pm. Hammering without interruption with a hammer on a nail. One should think a hotel like this would hire a decent company with the right equipment to get it done in a couple of hours, and not one man with a hammer and a nail who needed 4 days for 6 tiles!! Still some to go, so I pity the guests to come. |This was at 4 meters from our room. I was very angry that the hotel assigned me this room after the move, when I know there were many other free rooms. There was also no warning anywhere that there was very inconvenient works going on in the hotel. Only after my complaint at the front desk was a letter hung up in the elevator. But then, of course it is too late, and you have already booked. I feel very unfairly treated and will make that known in the comments on Tripadvisor and...
