My wife and I were referred to this hotel, while on a flight from Manila to Ozamiz City in April 2023. We had some business to take care of in Davao and had stayed at a hotel (Jazzy James) located near the BI, that was substandard. So, we booked Microtel Davao via Booking.com and we were pleasantly surprised, asto how close this hotel was to places that we planned on visiting. Yet, there were several things that we didn't like: (1) Poor internet; (2) Two remote controls for their single 32" TV in our room that we had problems using and, required constant help from one of the employees to turn on the TV (so we could watch our favorite programming); (3) Always had cold water running in the shower (which made it unpleasant when we wanted a warm shower at the end of our day). However, this hotel is currently going through some renovations, so I would naturally assume that what I previously mentioned will be take care of before we visit this nice hotel in a year from now. | On the flip side, their customer service was outstanding. One individual (Joyce - the daytime manager) went so far as to provide me with a laptop to prepare a 4--page document that I needed to submit to the Bureau of Immigration and even made multiple copies, that really made my day. ||They have an excellent hot breakfast every morning with two employees that go out of their way to ensure that your needs are taken care of.||The rooms were spacious and the beds were very comfortable. ||They also were very close to many nice restaurants, the SM Mall and, coffee houses. ||There security guards were exceptional when they flagged down a taxi for us to take. ||So, all in all, we were quite happy and plan on staying at this fine hotel...
Read moreI cannot stress enough how accommodating everyone was during our short stay here. From before we checked in up to the time we checked out, all the staff helped us stay and feel safe since it's pandemic season and made our agenda feel like a breeze. I had to book a cargo pick up for a lot of stuff and they allowed us to have it picked up at the hotel, one of the staff members supervised everything and even helped load the boxes and crates!
Aside from these, the breakfast choices are A+++! I chose Japanese cuisine everyday and looked forward to having it delivered to our room. The hotel and room are kept pristine and staff are all very commendable. Due to the pandemic, laundry service is not available at the hotel but since we needed to get our clothes cleaned, they delivered and picked up our clothes at a nearby laundry shop for us. Seriously, they are the best!
I am so grateful that I ended up staying at Microtel Davao. Definitely going to stay here in all my future trips to Davao and cant recommend them enough to everyone! Book a stay here to experience what I'm talking about!
