The frontliners seem untrained to handle guests esp. tourists. The rooms are full of mosquitoes. ||I made my booking in January 2018 for my travel this April. I've been given a rate P2,946 for 2 nights exclusive of 12% tax (P3,299 with tax). Upon checkout, I was informed by the front desk that the rate for the application I used is P3,800 for 2 nights - very much different from what's in my booking confirmation. They told me that there should have been an information regarding the change of rate. Yes, I've received an information regarding the change of rates - on the night when we have already checked-in. Our check-in date is April 2 and we checked-in at 2pm. I've received the information about the change of rate on April 2 at 10pm. How ridiculous is that? I know that the price change isn't much, but my point is if there have been changes, it could have been advised earlier. Walk-in rates are much cheaper than what they have been asking from us. ||Moreover, when the assistant manager talked to me about the rates, she even suggested that to accommodate the walk-in rate, she would indicate no-show in the application I used. ||Nevertheless, it got sorted out in the end and we paid what is in my booking confirmation in the application and they emailed me and...
Read morePacific Palm Suites is a small hotel along Mamay Rd in Lanang. The hotel is easily accessible from Davao Airport. The room is spacious and clean. Basic toiletries were provided. It has a flat screen tv with cable channels. ||Staff were very courteous and helpful. There were few issues encountered during check in like the broken siding door in the bathroom and water running out first night but it was all addressed promptly by staff. The service is good for a small hotel. I also liked the fact that the rates comes with good breakfast choices. Serving pinoy breakfast in garlic rice, egg and coffee, selection from smoked fish to usual tocino, longganisa, etc is available. ||What can be improved is a bit of air freshener on CR the shower room is separated from CR. The CR has this scent that tells you there is mold somewhere it looks clean but smells a little of mold. ||The rooms are very near the roads so expect noises from vehicles passing by. The hotel it self is generally quiet and safe but because there is not much space from roads to hotel except for the small car park, you can hear what's happening outside. If this is a concern for you at least get a room from the second floor. ||Overall all the pacific palm suites provided us value for money stay...
Read moreThis place is surprisingly good. Although the rooms are very basic, the ambiance was very cozy. I like how the bath and the toilet are separate, the only downfall is that the shower area is very small, same as the toilet. Also, if one of you is showering, you can see that person naked in the shower, so just a heads up for those traveling with friends. ||||The room was clean, linens are, too.. well except the towel. There were some dirty smudges on the toilet. They offer 2 cups of coffee, a breakfast meal and a bottle of water free! Not bad for the hotel's price. They also have a cable TV, so for someone injured like me, it was nice to have! Their WiFi is slow when we were there, but it wasn't such a big deal for me. ||||Their staff are very friendly and accommodating. Since we were suppose to go around the city, they were nice enough to take our bags up to the rooms since they were still cleaning the rooms. ||||Location is near the airport, too.. So, perfect for those who...
