Island Lyfe Adventures — Hotel in El Nido

BEWARE - This hotel cancelled my reservation the night before arriving into El Nido on a busy Saturday night. We were suppose to stay there 3 nights. We booked this Hotel through Expedia (One of North America's largest online Travel Agent sites). We received an email from Expedia saying that the Hotel room was cancelled because we didn't make payment or cancelled it ourselves, which was not true. We never heard from anyone at the Hotel or Expedia. We did try and call the Hotel at 5am, but there was no answer. There was no other hotels available online anywhere, unless we wanted to pay $1000 / night. We were lucky that our awesome Travel Agent in Coron (Eclipse Travel & Tours) was able to find us one Hotel that just had a cancellation to accommodate our Family of 4. We got another Hotel so we never contacted this Hotel again to see what happened. We have two young boys with us, and this could have been a nightmare. Be cautious when booking here. We ended up staying at the Barco Hotel El Nido. It was clean / spacious / nearer to town, and was cheaper. Keep looking and don't stay here. They know how to take the reservation, they just don't know...

Internet doesnt work in the room. Only works in the lobby/cafeteria. Free Thousand of mosquitoes inside bedroom. We understand mosquitoes is everywhere during rainy season. After staying in 4 hotels around El Nido. This is the only place your room also come with thousands of mosquitoes . We asked if they have mosquitoes spray to kill them. They only offer lotion to rub in your body. After staying for 20 minutes trying to kill it (we end up getting tons of bites instead, ) and waited for internet to get it working, even after putting router in our room. Internet couldn't work. We decided to cancel the reservation. And after an hour not able to get an answer to who make the decision to waived fee. We decided to find another accommodation closely. We found 40% cheaper "Chibel Summer" great customer service, responsive to queries, Big room, big bathroom, with Pool on-site. FREE breakfast and STARLINK internet that helped me...

Nice place to stay close to Lio Beach and the airport. 10 mins from El Nido town. Amazing owners that make you feel at home. Great breakfasts. They will help you with anything you need on your trip (tours, diving, transportation). Would definitely recommend and come back on my next stay!

We also went scuba diving with Brian from Island Lyfe. He was by far the best diving instructor I’ve had and would definitely come back to dive with him again. He is very experienced and knowledgeable with scuba, el nido dive spots, and where/how to spot the local wildlife. If you’re looking to spot certain underwater creatures, he’s the guy. I especially appreciated how he would explain the reasoning behind what we were doing. He is also well trained in trauma and rescue diving. My friend was a beginner and he was extremely attentive and kept her feeling extremely calm. He made us feel safe...
