UPD: they didn’t react on my request nothing has improved
Also swimming pool has slippery floor with a little seaweeds so you can get injured easily if don’t watch
I am currently staying at this hotel, and while I appreciate the effort to provide a comfortable experience for guests, there are significant issues that need immediate attention to meet the expectations set by the hotel’s description.
Firstly, the Wi-Fi service, which was one of the main reasons I chose to stay here, is disappointingly inadequate outside of the reception and restaurant areas. Even in these locations, the connection is barely stable enough for audio calls. At villas it fails to support any form of streaming, as it disconnects every 3-5 minutes following a reset. This is far from the "high-speed" internet promised in your room descriptions and has significantly inconvenienced my stay (some reviews mentioned) and overlapping with lack of mobile network connection in the area.
Secondly, the restaurant service is notably slow and expensive, even by Philippine standards. Prices are 1.5 to 2 times higher than those in the town center and even in the business district of BGC, which is hard to justify given the mediocre quality of food. My order took twice as long as promised to prepare (is 40 min good timing for basic food and being guests in the 20-30% full restaurant?), and the request for a medium-rare burger was taken and then ignored, as I received a cold, well-done burger instead. Additionally, a tapsilog dish, typically priced at 100 PHP, costs an exorbitant 300 PHP here without any added value.
While the hotel boasts a stylish interior and seems to aim for excellence, the overall experience is marred by what feels like typical, poorly managed Philippine service standards. This inconsistency between promise and delivery is disheartening.
Having lived in the Philippines for 2 years, I still haven't found the answer to why it's considered acceptable in the Philippines to provide guests with service that is worse than anywhere else in Southeast Asia, while charging the full price or even more?
I am bringing these matters to your attention with the hope that they can be addressed before my departure. Improving these aspects could significantly enhance the experience for me and...
Read moreWell, I can’t comment on rooms because we haven’t stayed there but we used their service and booked transportation from Puerto Princessa to El Nido, through Panorama Villas.
Avoid it.
The driver was driving crazy. On curves (and even on a road without it), he would pass in the opposite lane. He was overpassing some cars on a double line. He drove fast most of the time (in the area where it is allowed to drive 60, he would drive 100, or where is allowed 50, he would drive 70-80 km/h).
We couldn’t stand it anymore so we asked him if he can stop doing it and keep the van in our lane in normal speed. He responded that it is ok to drive like he is already doing, on what we said that it isn’t and that it is dangerous to cross double line. He got upset, said to us something in Philippine language, basically ignored us, and speeded up. At one point there was “a quarantine check up”, they signal him to stop, he ignored it and passed.
1 time he stopped the van to do something without actually telling what he is doing. We waited 10-15 minutes in the van. We think that he picked up members of his family (they seemed to be very close). Once he picked them up with a very small baby, he kinda started to drive more normal but it was just last portion of the trip.
Should I mention that we were picked up almost 1 hour after agreed time?
Sorry, I can’t recommend this service and we will absolutely avoid using it...
Read moreI had an absolutely wonderful stay at Panorama Villa in El Nido! The villa offers stunning views and a serene atmosphere that truly captures the beauty of Palawan. Drawing from previous guests’ experiences, the location is perfect for those seeking tranquility, with clean and comfortable rooms that make you feel right at home. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, always ready to assist with a smile. One thing to note is that there’s no mobile signal in the area, but the villa provides Wi-Fi, though it’s relatively slow. This wasn’t a big issue for me as it allowed me to disconnect and enjoy the surroundings. Another minor point: during room cleaning, they didn’t automatically replace the towels, but when I requested fresh ones, the staff promptly provided them without any hassle. Overall, the experience was fantastic, and these small details didn’t detract from the charm of Panorama Villa. I highly recommend staying here for an unforgettable El...
