Kusina ni Nanay Bali — Restaurant in El Nido

Small but pretty good restaurant located south of Corong Corong beach on the main highway south of El Nido town. They have brick oven pizza and make a wide variety of pizzas. Large size pie and regular size pies, reasonable prices at 500 PHP for large/regular pie. We had a Margherita pizza and it was good but there was no basil on it. I'm not sure if they ran out. Their Sinigang dishes were good. We also had bangus and pork sisig and those were fairly good. I tried to order the port tocino topsilog in the evening but they were sold out of the pork and only had chicken tocino. (Running out of menu items seems to happen pretty frequently in restaurants on the islands here). The service and food came fairly quickly. One issue I did have for this place is they didn't have any coins for my change when I was paying my bill. It was only 10 pesos left on the bill they should have just waived the 10 pesos. 4 of us ordered a burger, two curry’s and some roasted chicken with fries and a salad. The burger fries and salad came after 20 minutes with the curry and chicken coming 15 minutes later. The staff were not well trained, never mentioning to us that there were no pizzas when we sat down. The menu is about 1/3 pizzas for reference. The two curries were literally swimming in oil. Not really edible. The chicken was over cooked and the burger was extremely sweet and mushy....

1 star is being generous to this place. Mistake after mistake.

Pizza dough was still raw on the bottom and the topping was no existence.

Service was terrible, woman was more interested in what ever she had on the desk than to serve me and others.

Finally trying to get my change was a hassle, quick to take my money and then slow giving change but getting more customers in...
