Here are the things you need to consider before choosing this resort:||||Location - Not too friendly for commuters. Only cabs can bring you to here, or you walk a distance of more or less 2 kms from the cemented road where PUVs are. But to be fair, resorts on this side of Marigondon are all remotely accessible to local PUVs. The resort has a partnership with the biggest taxi operator in Cebu (Scorpion/Spider) so they can book you a cab to fetch you from their resort to any part of Mactan Island/Mainland Cebu with a Php100 additional charge to the taxi's meter.||||Beach type - The Pado sea floor is composed of rocks, both sharp and the smooth-pebbly type. They lack sand, especially when it's low tide. My husband and I rented a local boater to tour the Marigondon beach stretch for an hour and we noticed that for some unknown reason, seaweeds and saltwater plants seem to flock on the sea area of Pado. We haven't seen much of them on the beach front of other resorts, only on Pado. Given this, the small sand area and the sea water are full of seaweeds and see plant remains. Thus, considering these factors, Pado beach per se may or may not be for you if:||1) If you prefer sand in the sea floor and easily freak out when something touches your skin (seaweeds, moss, sea plants that are washed ashore, and such), swimming in Pado beach is not for you.||2) If you are fine with the aforementioned and you are after the 'au naturelle'/'one with the nature' thing, swimming in Pado beach is for you. Also, the diverse marine ecosystem on this area allows a more favorable scene for those into the diving activity. ||||Rooms - Nothing special; not grand but clean and maintained. TV has no cable connection. Beds are thick and bouncy/soft which can fit around 3 to 4 people. Water in the restroom is a bit weak. AC works fine.||||Pool - small in size||||Restaurant - We didn't get to experience the food in their resto since they were closed the whole time. However, the staff were accommodating enough to contact a fast food chain for delivery with no charge.||||Staff - Very friendly and accommodating. They are prompt to answer any inquiries you may have. Except for the cashier whose name I wasn't able to get. She doesn't know how to at least be polite to the clients and acts as if she could not be bothered.||||Client profiles - Most of their client base are Koreans who are here for the diving experience and the island hopping service they offer. You will also see Filipinos who come in groups (either families or barkadas) who choose this as a reunion venue. Most Koreans stay overnight, most Filipinos are for day tour.||||WIFI - available; moderate connection speed since they are using a portable WIFI stick||||Cellphone signal - Globe: full bar, Sun/Smart: Kinda sucked||||Activities - Boating (not owned by the resort but you can chance upon some locals who would offer tours around the beach stretch), Banana boating, Diving, Jetski, Paragliding...
Read moreWe were expecting to find a great hotel resort in Maribago area but they were all full. We tried other areas in Hadsan and Marigondon but just the same we cannot find one that can take us with 2 rooms for 2 nights. We arrived here by accident but it was a nice experience. They had a longer ocean area and view compared to all the pricey hotels and resorts. I would say ocean and not beach since I always believe that a beach should have the shores and all but since Lapu Lapu or Mactan area has diving resorts, they have no shore lines but diving areas and some The place was a bit old but well-maintained. The staff were nice and friendly. We were allowed to buy our own food. The rooms are spacious and can fit two to four persons with a double and single bed. They also had family rooms. We had a small fridge, TV, AC and electric fan in the rooms. The bathroom with toilet and shower was also big. They can also get a taxi for you for an extra charge paid to the taxi driver. Most of all, we had fun swimming. Our rooms were facing the ocean and it was so relaxing during our entire stay. We were not divers just like the rest and we did not do other fun water activities but staying in this resort was great. New wonderful memories were created. It was so affordable compared to the other...
Read moreThis resort is shabby and overpriced. Payment is in advance otherwise we wouldn't stay after viewing the room, Power points are hanging loose off the wall and many not working. Walls are dirty and mouldy, bathroom water runs into the bedroom. The control on the old air con unit needed to be rotated. the knob rotated but not the shaft. On leaving the room I rotated the air con to off but it remained on because only the knob rotated not the control. When we came back late at night the aircon was not working. Staff had turned the supply power to the aircon off because it was running in a vacant room so in mid summer heat we had no air con all night until power was reconnected in the morning. No apologies from the staff! The only thing going for this resort is the location. The swimming pool was closed for maintenance for the entire stay. ||The dining room is expensive and very limited selection of Korean foods. No food available after 6pm. Nothing else within walking distance. Ask reception to call for a taxi and they charge commission. Wifi was disconnected permanently. Never stay here again. One star accommodation. Only good for rich backpackers who...
