Read moreIt seems many good things start with imperfections. The first room I entered had not hot water and the TV box was unusable, which put me in a bad mood. However, Toni at the front desk helped me move to a larger and more comfortable room (although the next day I discovered there was no hairdryer or soap, probably because they prepared it in a hurry). Later, there a problem with the sink drainage, but they managed to fix it. And their attitude was very good.
Unexpectedly, the next day after the water incident, the receptionist told me Toni asked me to wait for her in the lobby at 1 p.m. She had arranged a city tour for me and invited a colleague to drive us to the Museo de La Lazapi, Farm Plate, Seto Gregory the Great Cathedral, and Highland Park. She truly put a lot of thought into the arrangements, which touched me deeply. I believe her emphasis on customer experience stems from her love for her job ,and the presence of a good boss who sets a good example, inspiring employees to dedicate their time and effort because they love their work. This allows even disappointed customers to feel the hotel's sincerely.
Someone once told me that even the best hardware will break down eventually, but a person's original intention will never change. I think Hotel Lucca showed me the most important thing. I don't think I'll ever encounter another hotel like it in my lifetime. They deserve more than five stars; I think they deserve ten. At last, Chay, Thank you for recommending Lutong Baha. Nhel,we created our first Grab experience together. Toni, thank you for what...
Read moreI rolled the dice on this one. While researching this property I found minimal reviews mismatched map info, and outdated Google information. It threw me off because the old hotel (Tanchuling) is still listed right beside the location. On top of that the Google Street view shows the old hotel (Tanchuling Hotel) and not the renovated one (Hotel Lucca). Even the Grab app shows the location to be in the middle of Diamond Street a few blocks away. Not to worry, the grab app will ultimately take you to the right location. But as for the hotel, book it.
The location was off of some residential roads across from Tanchuling College, so it was quiet anytime I was there. There are a few Shopping Malls (Ayala, Pacific, SM City) you can walk to within 5-10 minutes that all have assorted restaurants and fast food chains or pretty much anything else you need for that matter. Grab/Trikes are all relatively low cost since the city is not very large.
The room was clean and spacious. Everything appeared newly constructed or remodeled. The staff were all beyond polite and informative. The price is good for the comfort level of this hotel. But most importantly, it does...
