Solano Hotel — Hotel in Lipa

We stayed at this hotel for few days when the storm hit and we had to cancel our outdoor outing. This is located in the capital of Batangas.

Breakfast buffet is available, service is great but you have to come early. Coming late means less food options for you.

They have three restaurants/cafes within the hotel so there is a lot of food options for you if you are a foodie. I am loving the Al Fresco deck that transforms to a chillaxing drinking area at night.

There is also a wellness center and a gym. We didn't check the other amenities (if there is any)

Room design is posh and comfortable, we slept great as the area is also quiet. But rooms are not that spacious. Bathroom is great with complete complimentary toiletries.

Service is great. They are polite, prompt and approachable.

Downsides: Small parking space. You have to pass by a furniture center to access the hotel from the reception. Cleaning staff isn't thorough. There are markings of names in the bed headboard when we checked-in. Makes you think if they do really clean everything. This hotel is nice. Parking is limited to non-existent. Had to have a guy find parking nearby and then had to pay for it. To walk into the hotel you have to walk a good bit through a furniture store. The rooms were nice, but when the acoustic night was ongoing at the restaurant below, you could hear the music. But acoustic night didn't last too late, so it ended up being quiet. The shower is one of those weird ones where it has a glass wall where you can see right into the rest of the room if you don't close the shade.

Checking in and out was easy, and it is just a quick ride (or a 5+ min walk uphill) to SM Lipa.

Honestly, hotel 1925 nearby looked better. I would stay there...

A decent hotel that should be called a motel instead with very few facilities, the other downsides were: Limited parking Limited choices at breakfast buffet What you see on the website is not what you get. Very misleading. Some of our rooms were not cleaned on certain days A nice looking motel lobby, and after that a long walk through a furniture shop before getting to the elevators to get to the rooms. Very eerie at night when lights at the furniture shop are shut/dim while you make your way to the elevator. Window view is bad, more like a settlement view Overpriced for this...
