Food 4/5
The food was good. However, the servings are not consistent. We ordered Sundried tomato and truffle, carbonara, lasagna, cheese burger, buffalo chicken burger, smoked forest ham and salami, caesar salad. With our first order, the pasta servings were quite small. Then during the second time we ordered, the servings were a little bigger. Overall, the taste was great.
Ambiance 5/5
The ambiance is wonderful. It feels like you’re in Baguio in the middle of the city. The first time we went it was raining, so they could add more umbrellas to cover more tables. Overall, the place is spacious and clean.
Service 0.5/5
The service is not good AT ALL. I would give 0, but somehow I just feel bad at the crew. The management has to take action to re-train and re-assess their process. First, the menu is only at the counter. The line piles up because of customers who only think about their orders at the counter. Each customer takes more than 5 mins. If you have more menu placed outdoors on each table or near the door, then it would have reduced the pile up at the counter. Secondly, we were seated but we had to ask multiple times for them to bring us utensils. I even went inside to request for utensils and then they said they will serve it. Few orders were already served before the utensils were given. We also had this issue with the service water. We asked for the water several times, and as we finished eating already we asked for them again until we walked inside to get it ourselves. Third, as we ordered 2x because the servings were small, we waited a long time for the first batch of orders to arrive and more than 45 mins for our second set of orders to be served. When I complained that their service was very slow, one of the waiters even tried to make excuses, like there are so much orders, the orders were moved back because we had a lot of orders, and that since we ordered a second batch our orders were pushed back. This was confusing to me because the first batch of order were all out. And to be honest, having a waiter talk back or make excuses did not help the situation. Moreover, is this how you treat a customer who ordered a lot?Is this really the process? If we order a lot, our orders will get pushed back. Isn’t it supposed to be first in first out? This is why we took so long in the restaurant because the service was so slow. We took more than 3.5 hours! And only if the service was fast, you could have seated more customers...
Read moreLoghouse Café is a hidden gem in the heart of Lipa City that offers a cozy and rustic ambiance. The café is beautifully designed with a modern twist, blending wood interiors with touches of nature, giving off a warm and welcoming vibe. It's the perfect place to unwind, whether you're looking to enjoy a quiet meal or catch up with friends in a laid-back setting.
Food and Service: The food at Loghouse Café is delightful and well-prepared, offering a mix of classic and contemporary dishes. However, the portion sizes could be more generous, especially considering the price point. While the flavors are satisfying, a bit more quantity would go a long way in providing better value for money.
Ambiance and Experience: The café’s ambiance is undoubtedly one of its highlights. With its loghouse-inspired design, it feels like you’re dining in a cozy cabin surrounded by nature, even within the city. The atmosphere is both relaxing and inviting, making it a great spot to enjoy some peace.
Parking and Accessibility: One area for improvement is the parking space, which is quite limited. During peak hours, finding a spot can be challenging. Additionally, the road leading to the café could use some work, as it may be a bit rough for some vehicles.
Operating Hours: Loghouse Café is open from 8:30 AM to 9:00 PM, making it accessible for both breakfast and dinner.
Overall, Loghouse Café is worth a visit for its unique ambiance and well-curated space. With a few tweaks in portion sizes and better parking arrangements, it could easily become a top spot...
Read more🍽️ First-Time Dining Experience at Log House Restaurant – Sabang, Lipa City
This was our first time eating at the Log House Restaurant here in Sabang, Lipa City. We usually know the Log House more as a resort, so trying out the restaurant was something new.
🏡 Ambience & First Impressions As soon as you enter, you're greeted by a friendly guard who kindly shows you where to park. The entrance itself is impressive, you’ll probably say “wow” because it’s beautiful. There are tall pine trees and the architectural design of the house is really nice. Personally, I liked the outdoor ambience more than the indoor vibe.
Inside, the space feels a bit cramped, but it’s manageable.
🍝 What We Ordered We tried: Lasagna Pepper Beef Lechon Kawali Carbonara (my child’s pick)
⏱️ Service & Payment Service was quick and the staff were friendly. They accept GCash, debit, and credit cards, which is super convenient.
👅 Food Review Lechon Kawali: Delicious! Pepper Beef: The sauce was a bit too salty for us. Not sure if it’s just our taste, but it was noticeably salty. Lasagna: Tasty, but the pasta was undercooked. Carbonara: Same issue. The pasta was a bit raw or too firm.
🤔 Would We Go Back? Maybe not, but if someone invites us and it’s free. ...
