My friends and I (group of 8), out of the blue, decided to have a weekend getaway to Zambales; where almost all of us were first timers. Knowing that one week planning prior to the trip wasn't enough, we didn't expect to get good deals of hotel in the area. We tried other hotels but unfortunately, most were either fully booked or can't accomodate larger groups. Luckily, we stumbled upon Nora's beach resort on the net. The person manning the hotel's phone was prompt enough to answer all our inquiries and was kind enough to suggest activities to try in Zambales and also offered discount to their boats (for island hopping) that we decided to make a reservation (no downpayment needed but needs to pay cash upon check-in). ||When we saw the actual resort and its location, we had mix emotions (leaning more towards excited). We love the resort location because it's one of the few that are beach front, a few steps away from the beach. Imagine having a breakfast (sipping coffee that goes with the pancake) with a nice view of the beach while the salty air hits your face. The beach front is great for strolling (with quite a stretch of greyish/whitish sand) and swimming of course, if you're not effy with the boats docked on it. But if you ask me, i think it's part of the view; "life is a beach" indeed or is it "beach is life". I also love that when we arrived at the resort, the owner (tita nora) personally welcomed us, and made chit chat about her humble beginnings up to her rise to the top (yey for women empowerment) which makes it more special to us. I tell you, that lady is a talker which you can definitely take advantage cause she will gladly give you tips where to buy fresh sea foods (and pasalubong) that you can bring with you on your island hopping (which is a must by the way). The room is very clean with a cabled flat screen tv and an aircon that's not noisy, with clean bed sheets and comfy pillow. It has a functioning water heater, but unfortunately no bidet (bummer). The room were in by the way is a bit small (being the lowest costing room) for 8, that is if you're planning to have a staycation and maximize the resort on your whole stay. But for us, we fit in just fine and had a good night and comfy sleep. You can have a larger room though for an additional cost pf course, complete with your own kitchen and all. ||Overall, this resort is great for family and group of friends. It's a great value for your money. Cheap but can very much satisfy your basic (beach weakend getaway)...
Read moreWe accidentally stayed here because of the nearby resort's fault with our reservation but i can call this a "blessing in disguise" since all we experience here is GREAT SERVICE!Kudos to all the team especially Ms.Mary Ann who willingly assists us with our needs during the stay... staffs there are very courteous and helpful... when you asked something to them, they immediately attend to your needs... Ms.Nora(owner) also is a hands on with her business and this is a good thing because she can manage how her people give quality service to customers... |Detailed PROS and CONS below:||CONS:|-no swimming pool (but not a downside for us since we don't do night swimming)|-no pathway from resort to beach so people have a hardtime going in and out because the sand is very hot from morning til the afternoon.|-sometimes, out toilet is clogged but they are willing to fixed those.|-aircon is sometimes noisy but bearable.|-videoke (from the nearby resort) is none stop and we can hear it from inside of our room.||PROS:|-beachfront|-clean rooms, very basic but clean and comfy to stay with.|-GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE|-food is a bit pricey but reasonable since they do large servings and the taste is great! (Try their sinigang na hipon at pinaputok na tilapia)||I would definitely recommend this resort...
Read moreTraveled to Pundaquit for a swim event. I initially planned to stay one night but extended to two.||||Location: Perfect for those looking for island hopping to nearby Capones/Camara Islands. The beach in front of the resort is also fine for swimming so you can already relax and unwind just staying on the resort.||||Staff: Supernice. Nay Nora and the rest of the staff/ her family are very welcoming. For those who need to wake up like me as early as 5AM, this is your resort as Nay Nora wakes up before that. ||||Food: They have big servings at the right price. I ordered tinolang manok saying it's good for 2-3 but I think it was for 4 persons. I liked that it was tasty and spicy. You can have your leftovers kept in the fridge and eat them in your next meal. I also tried the pancake breakfast price seems good for 1 but the actual sizes are good for two. ||||Cost: Economy rates. I reserved a room for two as they don't have a room for one but when they saw that I was travelling solo, they reduced the rate. Hence, I was very thankful and I was able to extend one more night🙂. ||||Rooms: Basic decent and clean rooms. Bring your own toiletries and towel. Not a big thing but it would be more convenient for visitors if they also...
