We stayed at Playa Alba for just one night. My concern is that it was so noisy that I couldn't sleep until 3 AM. There was this dribbling sound of marble that I could hear occasionally. I also took recordings of it. We went out at night to have dinner and stroll, but the staff closed all the lights, making every hallway very dark. No one was attending to the ground floor, despite having guests in the house. I had to insert my fingers into the small opening of the glass door to slide through the tube that they use to lock the door. It was so inconvenient.
Also, entering the gate was always difficult. We had to wait for 15 minutes for it to be opened from the beach side, as they couldn't hear the gate's doorbell.
I was frustrated. I woke up in the morning for breakfast, which took a long time to prepare. However, upon checking, it was just rice, egg, and something fried that I didn't eat. They wanted me to eat in the dining area since food is not allowed in the rooms. I insisted that I wouldn't be eating anymore; I just needed to grab the food.
I'm extremely frustrated. They're also very strict. My cousin visited us for a moment, as they were staying in the neighborhood, but according to the lady I was talking to, it's really strict, and they wouldn't let us have visitors, especially non-guests. I'm confused about who they're referring to; isn't it us who are the guests? Like I couldn't see any other guests here. Our payment of PHP 3,800 was really not worth it. I wouldn't recommend this place. If you visit Pandaquit, Zambales, I would never recommend this place. My anger right now is really on a high level!!!!
Edit: My husband woke up with so many mosquito bites! I didn't have one because I woke jacket, Socks and pajama. Again so disappointing and frustrating!!!!
Upon check out they even invalidate my concerns. The worst encounter for a hotel personnel. They even blame me why I was so mad. I didn't even have enough sleep because all of what happen to us. They informed me" ano mgagawa namin sa 3AM ma'am na di ka nakatulog eh tulog na kami nyan?"
She also informed me na bat hindi kayo umalis Ma'am kaladkarin mo yang Afam mo sa labas kung di nyo gusto dito? Sabi pa nya. dun Sana kayo sa 5 star hotel!! the nerve of this lady. Even one sorry, even with the insects in the room because they leave open the window from the cr open, from all the personal I was being blamed they informed me that I am the first one ever who have concerns! I already don't know. All I can say I would never ever go...
Read moreNice Rooms, friendly staff, but unused potential. This place could be big and buzzing. It's right at the beach, with a lovely view to the beach and cove. The rooms were big and clean, towels fresh and the pool crystal clear. To take it to the next level it would need for example some sun loungers, a BBQ at the weekend and a cocktail bar. Also warm water in the shower ;) Overall we had a pleasant stay and can recommend it for a stay, just don't expect a full function hotel with...
Read moreCan’t wait to see this place in a few years. Once the new owners have undertaken the required work. There is a fantastic space at the front that would make an amazing beach bar and a lot of space all around the hotel in which to add new facilities. The pool was clean. I even managed to watch the fountain work this morning, however, we didn’t have any hot water, but the towels were...
