We booked the hotel because one of college friends is getting married in Mango farm in Antipolo. We decided to stay the night before her wedding. We picked this hotel because I love city lights and they offer night star gazing at their rooftop.
We got the room for 2,393 PHP. We arrived pretty late. Checked in around 7pm. The hotel looks empty. Lights at the reception were dim, some lights were closed and it feels like we are the only guests. I am not that sure but it feels like it. Upon going to front desk, I told the staff that we have a reservation and we booked a deluxe room with Agoda. He seemed confused because he was asking me for the payment which I told him I did already at the website. It just looked like he wasn't calibrated with their partnership. He didn't ask for an ID as well but he was polite enough to ask what do we want for breakfast and what time would we like it to be served. He then lead us to our room which has an overlooking of the citylights. Didn't see an elevator. You have to take the stairs. Btw, I am pregnant and the room is just 3 flights up. Not suitable for PWDs.
For the room, I gave it a 2 star rating. Its interior is somewhat motel type rather than a hotel. They need renovation and paint job. T&B wasn't pristine but they have a heater. Bathrobes looked tattered and old. You have a choice of either a queen size bed or 2 single beds. For some reason, the AC keeps getting back up to 23° even if we wanted it to stay at 18°. My husband woke up in the middle of his sleep sweaty because the AC wasn't cold enough for him. I had to use pile of paper to improvise a fan. I also noticed the AC fluctuated from running to almost stopping. Our room is called Wednesday, maybe you would like to avoid that room if you're planning to stay here. They don't have in-room telephone so the only way for you to reach frontdesk was either you get yourself down there or you call them at their smart number (you can also viber, but they haven't been online for awhile now) and I don't think it's convenient. We also ask if they have an in-room menu for dinner in which in some hotels they have it ready at the room, however, the guy in front desk referred me to the leaflets of fastfood restaurants displayed at the room with delivery hotline. If you are fed up with fastfood, there's a restaurant nearby named Grilla that delivers filipino food. I recommend the Pork Sisig. In short, the hotel has no food during the night.
Yes, there's Wi-Fi and TV.
With our usual check in at hotels, we request for a late check out time especially if we checked in late. Most of the hotels were kind enough to allow until 2pm instead of their usual check out schedule of 12 or 1pm. Even in Okada or Solaire, they allow it. But here, I was asking if we can stay until 1:30pm for a late check out and he was just not answering me with customer service. I am not telling them to be lenient but to be understanding since we checked in late. Maybe it is because they are trying to save electricity, but it will not help the hotel's business to get more customers if they will keep that up. We checked out at 1pm.
For the free breakfast, you have a choice of Filipino breakfast (tocino, tapa, hotdog, etc) or Western (bacon, pancake, eggs). We order 1 western and 1 tocino. The food was okay.
The pool has been under renovation for quite some time now. I saw a review date early 2017 that it is under renovation and as of our stay March 2019, it still is.
Overall, I might not go back here. We lived in Makati and we have tried hotels there with the similar price and I could say that you could have stay in a much better hotel or condo at Makati with this amount. (Hint: Airbnb) But Seven Suites is less than 10mins away from Mango Farm Antipolo so it's an advantage if you are attending an...
Read moredid not have a good experience during the stay. cabinet was broken and left to be that way in our FRIDAY room why is there someone swimming in the pool this morning if it was for renovation? aircon was inadequate, someone tried to fix it but it did not fix the 25 degree aircon temperature. you should indicate that room service for breakfast has a charge. it wasnt indicated even just as respect to give a heads up to guests. thin walls were by no means helpful or conducive for a good nights stay. i booked this location because of the nice photos and reviews. the actual venue went way below my expectations. welcoming guests during check in is awkward. beds are stiff and uncomfortable. no homey atmosphere, less than friendly staff (majority ignores guests). overall unhappy with the stay and the price we paid for this accommodation.
You fail to fix the little things, the simplest things people will be turned off about. This is just sad ..it would help if you put even just a little effort to make your guests understand your hotel. Sometimes its really the small things you have put off that make it a big turn off for those staying at the hotel.
Such as an updated copy of this on the flyers. Or a heads up that room service is charged. We dont mind. But this is just lack of follow through and attention to detail..not to mention the crooked hooks, islands and cabinets at the friday room. Horrible...
Read moreThis used to be one of those "must to go" places in Antipolo a few years back... now it has been neglected, so sad.||||We've been trying to book a room here since Sept last year for the New Year and to celebrate my daughter's 16th birthday... We finally got the room that we wanted around last week on Nov. ||||Despite all the negative feedbacks, we still chose this hotel because it would perfectly give a good look-out for the fireworks celebration.||||Like what the other writers said, it has poor management and really needs major renovation and most importantly CLEANING!||||All amenities are still available like in most hotels, we just had trouble with the wifi in our floor. It was almost 10pm when it was fixed coz of just 1 "extra" letter in the password. This is really clumsy, I must say.||||I cannot say all bad things about our stay. The FOOD was still delicious coz the chef or it's kitchen staff still went thru training under CCA or The Orange Place. If you've been a regular diner at Katipunan, you would know how they prepare their food.||||And may I commend the LOYAL and patient staff, from the kitchen to the service crew and the young man from the reception area who still served us and put much effort to make our stay all worth while.||||If they would only renovate this and clean it religiously, it will be back on the "to go" list...
