I would give this hotel zero stars if i could!
I booked and paid in advance for this hotel via booking .com My flight was delayed meaning i missed my connection. I was already half way round the world, stuck in a country i wasnt supposed to be in without proper phone service so I emailed the hotel to let them know i was still coming but would not arrive til the next day. Their automated response said they would reply within 24hrs. Worried this wouldnt be seen in time and desperate to ensure I didnt lose my booking as a no-show (although seeing as i’d already paid in full i think this is an unacceptable practice anyway) I took the decision to call (at a cost of £2 per minute, for over 15mins) and was assured my booking would be held and it was noted on my reservation. Great… i can relax… or so i thought…
As im waiting to board my replacement connection the next morning I receive a message “your hotel reservation has been cancelled due to no-show” I try calling the property - no answer I email them - no answer I call booking .com who say they will call the property and reinstate the booking (this costs me another 14 min phone call at £2 a min, so i have now spent almost the same again in calls as the room cost) I land in Manila and a local lady calls the hotel on my behalf before I leave the airport to confirm they have definitely reinstated my booking. The hotel says no, its cancelled and refuses to reinstate original booking. They say i need to book and pay again. Its almost midnight, im a solo female traveller and they already had full payment for a room for me. Disgusting behaviour! Obviously i did not rebook with them, i went somewhere else. Hotel continues to ignore messages and refund requests from not only myself but from booking .com too.
