I stayed for 8 days, and unfortunately, there was constant construction happening every day, which made the stay uncomfortable. We can also smell paint even I was inside the room. I would strongly recommend that the hotel avoid placing guests on floors where construction is ongoing.
On the first day, I requested a room upgrade because the room I was assigned had a foul smell, dirty toilet, and stained bedsheets. I was so disgusted by the state of the bedsheets that I ended up buying my own bedsheets just to make our stay bearable. However, the receptionist seemed frustrated and told me that I should have requested the upgrade when I checked in. It is unreasonable to expect that I could know whether I was satisfied with the room without seeing it first.
This was the first time I've encountered a hotel refusing a room upgrade, especially when I was willing to pay the additional cost.
What made matters worse is that the hotel was very strict and unreasonable with policies. Even if i wasn't satisfied with the rooms and their service. I couldn’t even get a patial refund for the (php 13k+) i paid for my stay if I decided to move to a different place due to their unfair rules. Read more“Less stress, more chill”, what a joke! If I could give this hotel zero stars, I would (even negative, if possible). Our room’s toilet did not work right at check in, our towels were dirty, and we could not control our AC because there were missing batteries in the remote.
However, none of that compares to how terrible and unprofessional the front desk was. There was no communication between the staff and promises would be made to their guests without accountability. They had messed up our booking without us knowing, then expected us to move rooms because of this mistake. When we talked to reception at night, they promised that we would not have to move anymore. Yet, the next morning, we were told to move! What kind of service is this?
