March 2024 - It's great that Krung Thai has expanded to a bigger location than their OG flagship store in Bayan. The restaurant is on the ground floor, while the second floor is reserved for private events and functions. Ample parking spaces. The only prob is that they're still on cash-only basis. They don't accept cards, and don't even have GCash. Too bad, because they have great food and sell other trinkets and souvenirs from Thailand. These days people don't carry a lot of cash anymore. Minus points for this. Do we recommend this place? Yes, but bring cash. Are we going back? Maybe. Location is a little remote. Will take photos of food before we inhale them next time.

Homey environment, walking distance from C&B mall which is our go-to marketplace. We went there this evening with our daughter for pre-Father’s Day dinner and tried their al fresco dining. The tom yum soup was great, only mildly spicy - our kid could tolerate it and actually thought it tasted good! Although my husband felt it could use more cilantro (he’s the Asian cook in the family). We also ordered chicken satay, which our daughter enjoyed (she ate almost everything). We really liked the sauce! Serving size was just a little bit small. Lastly, we got bagoong rice to go with everything else we ordered. Easily my favorite.

It’s not authentic Thai. Everything is sweet. I think they’re appealing to the Filipino taste palette. I hope this changes because it just feels like I’m eating at a Filipino restaurant that serving their take on what Thai food tastes like. The atmosphere is also uninviting. Everywhere you see unnecessary souvenirs or Filipino products consignment that you usually see in pasalubong centers when you’re leaving Tagaytay. Wahafen? Are we really dining or are we visitng a specialty store? And why do they have banana ketchup in their condiments?

สวัสดีค่า It's my first time here today because I've heard a lot about this Thai restaurant especially when my friends told me that the owner is Thai.

I ordered Tom Yum shrimp, Pad Thai, Chicken Satay and Green papaya salad. The first dish was Tom Yum and I almost gave up hope because there was Green bell pepper in the soup and secondly it's too sweet. I started to question, if the owner is Thai then they should know we don't add Green bell pepper into Tom Yum. That's a big 'No'! But then it came Pad Thai and Chicken Satay. I did like the Pad Thai because that's how I like my Pad Thai to be and taste, the noodle's still chewy and not over cooked. I loved how the chicken satay was well marinade but I didn't like the dipping sauce as it didn't taste like peanut satay dipping sauce in Thailand. Last, Green Papaya salad was good and tasty. So, overall I did like it and we will definitely go back to try different...
