The Clay Oven
I heard about this restaurant from Let's eat pare and since it's near our place we decided to try it. This is located in Sans Hotel near C and B Mall( Circle Mall) so there's a lot of parking here. The place is quiet and clean, inside the restaurant they have lots of tables and it is well designed( Indian inspired), they also have a VIP room good for around 8-12 guests. You can use the VIP room for 6-8k pesos and it's consumable, pretty good deal if you ask me. Prices are around 200-600php normal price for restaurants with good interiors and location. We ordered their best seller Kebab platter it's around 600+php I'm not expecting anything from it honestly because kebab is kebab but I was surprised when it was served to us. They got two sticks of kebab one chicken and one beef with around 1ft in length, it also comes with Pita Bread and around 3 servings of biryani rice (talk about SULIT!). We also ordered Paratha and it's really good, the owner recommended that we pair it with butter chicken sauce( I'm glad she did because this became my wife's favourite). We also got Lassi for dessert and the price is not bad and I love both flavours strawberry and mango. There's a lot on the menu that we haven't tried, they serve Indian, Mediterranean and Filipino food so there's a lot to choose from.
My rating for Clay oven is 5/5
Recommendes items: Kebab platter ( SULIT) Paratha with butter chicken sauce( these are 2 separate items). Mango and Strawberry Lassi.
What I like: 1.lots of parking 2.the place is quiet and clean even the rest room. servings have huge portions. The price is not bad for food quality.
Things to improve: Some seats I feel like it's not durable for someone big like me, it's...

Food was superb. Their kebab platter was so good, we had to order another serving for to-go. Highly recommended. Also, we loved how the chicken biryani was accustomed to the Filipino palate. However the biryani rice was slightly salty on its own, but the sauce that comes with the dish balances it out and compliments the chicken. We also loved how the chicken was not too spicy, and it was marinated and cooked really well.
I ordered their mango lassi and was surprised how good it tasted. I loved how balanced it was compared to the other lassis that I’ve tried here in Manila. It also tasted like a mango ice cream with a slight hint of yogurt. Will definitely try the strawberry one in our next visit.
We also got their leche flan for dessert. We loved how creamy and smooth it was. And just like what the aunties would say: “Masarap, hindi masyadong matamis.”
Service was good. Their staff was friendly and accommodating, plus the chef even smiled and said hi to our puppy. That’s a plus point for me.
The atmosphere was okay, chairs were comfy, the music was okay, and they also have a spacious parking outside.
Overall, we were glad to discover The Clay Oven. Hope that they will continue to have great food and service. We will definitely come back to try their other...
