✅ Friendly staff ✅ Beach is nice for water activities because the water is calm.
❌ The subdivision where the entrance of the resort is located has a 100 per person entrance fee, which is not indicated on the hotel’s site or page. They charge everyone even if you paid already and would just need to exit to buy medicines. You’ll need to pay again. Not sure where they use the money or if it’s even legal cause the road isn’t even smooth and clean, and there were no security guards roaming around. ❌ Limited car parking available in the resort - around 5-6 cars can only park in the resort, but they have a separate lot for additional parking space. However, no one hangs out in the additional lot to watch over your vehicle. ❌ Untidy surroundings and foul odor - upon entering the resort and walking over to their front desk, you’ll be welcomed by the stench of what seems to come from their kitchen or sewer. If your room is located on the second floor, you’ll notice that it smells like body odor by the staircase. The foul odor also stays inside the room, specially the bathroom. It was disgusting since the bathroom was not clean too. ❌ We booked an ocean view room (also mentioned on our reservation), but our view was the roof of the bar or dining. ❌ If you are a morning person, then staying at this hotel will be a problem because it’ll be noisy until 11pm due to their live bands. They didn’t give a heads up too on their site or page that you have no choice but to listen to their bands until they finish at 11pm. That’s the only time you can go to sleep since there’s no soundproofing inside the room. ❌ Breakfast and drinks are not worth it - I ordered a tequila sunrise, but turned out to taste like very sweet orange juice. The breakfast was so-so. Tapa was like two tablespoons only, hashbrowns were bland, brewed coffee tasted like carton, and their jam...
Read moreWARNING: Book somewheare else! Treasure Island Resort Subic is ABSOLUTELY NOT RECOMMENDED due to the following reasons:
Subdivision going to resort has 100 PHP entrance fee per pax. If you re-enter, you will need to pay another 100 PHP per pax. They give no receipt and as per checking, there are no improvements in the area (ex. Rough and narrow roads) Old and not well maintained rooms. You will also find leaks in the sink area which causes mess on the floor Unorganized wires and cables across the room which is prone to accident Slow WIFI connection Airconditioning system is TERRIBLE We also encountered none to very low water pressure which is super inconvenient if you want to use the bathroom YOU WILL BE CHARGED another 500 PHP cleaning fee if you don't take your trash outside upon check-out. This is the first time we encountered a troublesome resort RUDE staffs especially the receptionists and one of the waitresses (Jennylyn) There are outsiders and you won't feel secured as they are encouraging public to visit their bar. We lost a pair of slippers Untidy beachfront and they are not cleaning You won't be able to enjoy family time as there are no tables and chairs for the resort guests. If you want to use the tables and chairs, you have to buy all your foods from the bar. Otherwise, they will charge a corkage fee for every meal/viand you bring. Band/music noise is until 11 PM and not recommended for good sleep Their main focus is money and customer satisfaction 🙁 We had an awful experience with this troublesome resort especially during mother's day. Thus, we are sharing our experience to warn others not to book and have a bad experience. STRONGLY RECOMMENDED TO BOOK OTHER RESORTS and...
Read moreTravelling from Manila or Baguio is manageable via SCTEX. This place is not too crowded in the lenten season like other beach spots like Zambales. Treasure Island also caters to those who want to explore the dive spots in Subic Bay whether you are a 1st timer or aficionado. The resort is a magnet of foreigners - regular guest mostly and friends of the owner who is not of a Filipino descent either. Be sure to call and book your rooms prior to arriving as often times this place is packed. Though, walk-ins are accomodated, and if there no more vacant rooms, you can still enjoy their pool for P300 until 11pm. or dine and drink in their resto-bar. A live band on Saturdays - that plays mostly 70's-80's music but can also be of more recent genre by request. Impt Note: "entrance fee" of P100 per head to be paid before you can go to any of the hotels/resort in Baloy beach incl. Treasure Island, regardless if you have a reservation or not. (This is something new as we didnt have to pay anything in the past 😶 Rooms and services are okay. Food is good - but not so much for the price as again - presyong pang foreigner. Lots of choices from Filipino dishes to burgers and pasta. They also serve local and international breakfast. Beach and shoreline is great and excellent for kids. They also have buoys to prevent anyone from going too far out the sea. Only place I know that has a pool in the area - Downside of going for a day-tour or walk-in, you will be pushed to occupy the tables at the far side where it gets really really hot in midday. "Checked-in" guests and the foreign friends of the owner take prio on the prime spots or tables. In the end, its the quality time that you spend with your loved ones count the...
