Booked this hotel from 13-16 Sept 2018 after read trip advisor review. A hotel which ruined our trip in cebu. There was typhoon alert been announced on 13 Sept (the day we came from Palawan and no internet to check on the weather) so all activities in Cebu has been canceled for two days. There was receptionist/workers called Derjee and Apple told us ONLY whale shark is closed and alegria canyoneering & kawasan falls is still open and the price is PESO 4000 (WE PAID FULL) and arranged us the actives on next day. Was so excited for this actives. Unfortunately, there was a BIG lie by hotel staff, tricycle driver and also the canyoneering guide. NEVER GET FOOLED BY A GROUP OF PPL IN MY LIFE. Cause the canyoneering that we did is BADIAN canyoneering (ONLY 3 JUMP) not the ALEGRIA canyoneering (8 JUMP) and the guide cant able bring us to kawasan falls. We get to know this after search for alegria canyoneering video in youtube and asked the Oslob Tourism Centre. We was so gentle never ask for refund or scold them but only asked the hotel staff to arrange again the alegria canyoneering FOR FREE. But they keep blaming the driver and guide. We called the the driver to come and see us, in the end, the driver blame the guide. We waited for whole morning to find solution, in that time, the hotel staff keep on chasing us for money to arrange for alegria canyoneering and we STRICTLY told them we wont pay any money. We so fade up with their lies, and checkout immediately. Found another resort more cheaper with excellent service (BCD's Place) just beside the whale shark briefing area. We have no choice but to do again the alegria canyoneering for PESO 3000 (which is more cheaper).||||Pls dont stay here. There are so greedy for money. Their will ruin your vacation by chasing your money. And never trust the staff there. Try talk with locals. They will give you so much info. We do save some money by listening...
Read moreYou're paying for the location. Expensive for what it is. Rooms not very clean, communal walkways etc not very clean, swimming pool was cloudy for the duration of our stay so didn't seem clean. Wifi only in a very small area (their reception area) - even when in there the wifi was still useless, couldn't even refresh my emails. Restaurant/cafe area: chicken tasted like it was on the turn, corned beef tasted like spam, service was incredibly slow - seemed like 30 minutes to receive a chicken curry (with our drinks at the same time!) Staff at the front desk aren't very quick to help, seems like there's 5 staff there with only 1 doing anything (though this could be to do with the tours going on and the tour staff, if so then it's not clear who the actual hotel staff are!) The 1 star is for the sea views and how close it is to the whaleshark watching (which was amazing!). Though it should then lose half a star as the restaurant/cafe area sometimes smells of dead fish/krill/whatever it is they feed the whalesharks. In case i've not been clear, I'd recommend avoiding this place. Oh and also there was a building site inside the grounds, next...
