It's been a while since I slept in a place mentioned in LP guides. This one is difficult to rate. Truly it should be 3,5 stars, but let's uplift it a bit, as the staff was really helpful & kind. I think most accommodation next to Saud beach is of mediocre quality, at least it gives such impression. Jun & Carol Resort has a good location, directly on the beach southern side, means it's probably a bit quieter. My room was rather basic, but spacious & had sea view, which was a nice bonus (didn't ask for that myself). A/C was of the older type and a bit noisy, but cooled the space down. Wi-fi signal was not available in my room, maybe because it was on the highest floor. Food was fine and its prices were right, no brewed coffee though. There was a free water refill station next to the kitchen. I think the most disturbing fact was that I had a rat in my room, which seemed to get in through a self made hole in the wall, behind the sofa. This part of the wall was literally made with some very thin paper processed material or similar. When reported, they put a rag into the hole, like it was solving the problem 🙄 Similar to that, 1 of only 2 bulbes exploded one evening and they promised a maintenance guy next day, who never came. All in all, evenings were pretty dark inside the room. During my stay there were a few Philippino families through the weekend, as well as some Red Cross first aid course with plenty of kids, so it was a bit hectic. On the contrary, Sunday night I was the only person in the whole building. All in all, my stay was rather fine, but if you book in here, you should rather consider it budget standards, than anything else. I paid 1000 PHP for a night (Nov 24), no breakfast included.

probably the most cost efficient option among the slew of resorts lining Saud Beach. you’ll have to walk west a bit on the shore to get to a patch of beach that isn’t covered in seaweed but it’s not bad. the view from room 8 (with a verdana) is an excellent choice to book. the staff are really nice and accommodating, the food they serve is good, the only small complaint i have is that i wish my bathroom smelled cleaner, but aside from that it was a great stay.

I had the most relaxing stay at this hotel, fantastic location, great food, very friendly and helpful staff members. Its location is excellent on possibly the most beautiful unspoilt beaches in Asia. Wish I was still there now ❤️

If you are looking for a budget friendly hotel within the coast of Pagudpud, this is the best place to be. ||As what I have said, their staffs are overall friendly and accommodating. they are very hospitable and well versed when it comes to the place. |Food is cheaper compared to other resorts nearby. Pagudpud offers wide variety of cuisines but the price is not that cheap. So if you are really on a very tight budget, try their food. it's overall satisfying but not exceptional. However, if you are looking for other places to dine, try the resorts beside it. they offer more expensive dishes but to you complete satisfaction.|Rooms do not offer much. no phone, no fridge and the room is quite old. Again, do not expect much from this hotel. |Problems: The beachfront. it is not the typical white sand beach front. the resort is situated along the rocky part of the coast. so expect to see big waves, and huge rocks. but the white sand beach front is just few steps away from the beach so it will not be that big of a problem.|Security: safety can be an issue. as what the other reviewers have said, their windows are very easy to open so do not leave your valuables unattended. vendors can easily access the resort. ||Overall, because of the price, we never expected much. so technically we were not disappointed. we spent the whole day exploring pagudpud, bangui and burgos. (Tip, if you wanted to explore their attractions, ask for the locals. they can give you phone numbers of van for rent. we rented a van for 2,500.00 and it was worth it. we have seen all the major attractions...

What I didn't like about this place is the loud colors and the thin blankets - just minor things. Aside from that, the accommodations are fine for the budget-conscious. We really enjoyed our stay. ||||They had hot water shower, a/c, a few furniture in the room. Staff are nice and accommodating. The provide towels and tissue but no toiletries. Their restaurant have a lot of choices and their servings are good for 2-3 persons. Their water dispenser is available 24h, which we really appreciated. Just bring your own coffee/tea/juice drinks or just buy from their store, which sells at normal prices (not overpriced at all). They also have wi-fi signal. ||||The front of the resort had nice views but you can't swim on that side of the beach. This is the rockiest part. Just walk a few meters to the right for a better swimming area. You can also find other resorts' restaurants along the beach next to the resort if you don't like what they serve at Jun & Carol. ||||TIP: If you're in a large group, give your order to the kitchen and tell them what time you want it served so that you won't have to wait a long time since there could be a cue with other dining customers. You could do that with your breakfast the next day if you have activities planned early. Their kitchen opens at 6:30 AM and closes at...
