Stay in Momo Village is a great experience. ||Ana and Mark are a wonderful couple. Opportunity to talk with them about the Philippines, life experience or their unconventional ideas is actually one of the more interesting items on TO DO list for Philippines expedition. They are the owners, designers and creators of the main recognizable symbol of Panglao - Momo Tower, which is a great place to live and unique viewpoint with beautiful landscape view of the whole island, including the beach. ||I would recommend curious conversation about the tower project with Mark, a professional Dutch artist. ||Ana, full of life, joy and energy Philippine woman, hosted us with the tastiest breakfasts and fruit shakes we have ever had and took a care of us in the hard times (Solo had an incident and spent a few days in the hospital). She supports you in arranging anything you need (transportation, contacts, etc.) and advise what and how to visit interesting places, where to eat and what to avoid. She is the most valuable source of information for you! ||The apartments are very nice, interesting, well-equipped. There is a kitchenette, toilet, TV, refrigerator with snacks, unlimited drinking water, efficient ventilation, free WiFi and great views for free ||Momo also provides scooters for a very reasonable fee, may arrange transportation and help you in many things you need but for sure is the best place on Panglao island to take a rest and feel Philippians atmosphere. ||We highly recommend Momo and their hosts - Ana and Mark!...
Read moreMomo Village is a unique 5 story tower located in a quiet, rural area of Panglao, Bohol. If you're looking to stay away from busy places like Alona Beach, yet don't want to be too far, it's perfect. ||||I stayed in both the 4th floor and 5th floor rooms and found them both great. The 4th floor is much larger but has a smaller balcony. The 5th floor is more private with a lot of extra balcony space. It's quite a bit smaller though and also has a very unique basic/native bathroom that might take some getting used to.||||The internet connection was also very good. I was surprised at the speed. ||||Pros: ||- Unique rooms with lots of windows (especially the 5th floor) ||- Fast internet ||- Quiet ||- Great breakfast (with a croissant and real wheat toast!) ||||Cons: ||- No AC available and it is hot sometimes ||- You'll need transportation (you can rent a motorbike there) ||- Some bugs/mosquitos at night (there is a mosquito net provided) ||||I really enjoyed my stay here and won't hesitate to come back the next time I'm in Panglao. It's a great place to stay, especially...
Read moreI stayed in Momo village for two weeks and I really loved it. I stayed at the top floor and the second floor. Both rooms were super clean and comfortable with a great view (especially the room on the top floor). The location of Momo village is perfect. Walking distance from a more quiet beach, Momo beach, and with the motorbike you can rent here it's only 10 min to the more touristic Alona beach. Other places that are nice to visit on Bohol, like the chocolate hills, are also easy accessible with the motorbike. ||Ana and Mark were lovely hosts. Ana cooks breakfast, lunch on request and dinner every day. The food was delicious and cheap! I preferred eating here instead of going to Alona beach. It was nice to sit around the table with the other guests for dinner at night and to get to know them. Ana was very kind and helpful and their kinds were really cute. I definitely recommend anyone visiting Bohol/Panglao to stay here. It's a beautiful place. When I go back to the Philippines I'll make sure I have the time to come back to...
