Great value with great service, funky design, and friendly service - especially the food servers and security guard who helped to get us transportation without being swindled! Reception wasn't as helpful regarding this and quoted 150-200 PHP to get into town when should be more like 15 PHP per person. In town they are more likely to ask how much you paid on the way there and will try to charge 50+ PHP per person for a short journey so beware.
Breakfast was included and had a decent selection each morning. Would recommend going earlier so not picked over.
Pool was child friendly with a couple shallow areas for kids and a deeper bit for adults. Plenty of places to lounge with the most shade available in the afternoon.
Rooms were cleaned daily with water and towels replenished. However, my family's room didn't have the same experience with their fridge not cold and room not serviced - however probably due to the room being occupied during cleaning times.
Location is great close to the airport (4 min and includes a free pickup), which was fab! Walking we did the next day and although 15-20 min to town feels like an eternity in the heat so would recommend taking a tricycle or walking early morning or evening. Not much around for shops nearby so need to really go into town.
We arrived quite late and overhead that the closest place to eat was McDonald's. We decided to sleep and eat in the morning. That evening, we discovered there's actually a few places to eat - Japanese, Korean, Filippino in a complex 4 min walking distance just north, which is handy and small shops across the street from there to buy water, snacks etc.
You'll be approached for tours etc along the main road - probably cheaper than the hotel but you can find...
Read moreThe location was very nice, situated very near the Puerto prinsesa airport, like a 5 min walk from the hotel and voila! U are already at the airport. Tricycles and multicabs are readily available when u go outside of the hotel which has its advantage when u do a diy tour in Puerto Prinsesa. We booked a room, 2 double sized bed and the room was huge, it can accommodate like 5 to 8 people using extra mattress. However, they are not keen when it comes to cleanliness, the shower head(unintentionally noticed) has mold, I can understand if those were unremovable stains but I doubt it since the shampoo and body gel also has the same mold. Other things are clean though. Their breakfast which comes with the accomodation is something to look forward to, they serve pancakes, eggs and french toast cook only when u order. Then they have various options like salad, soup, tocino, sausages, vegetables, out meal, cereal and even cheese platter and cold cuts. I almost forgot the diy, toast and coffee. The service though can still be improved, the first night we came in, no one from the staff even helped us with our luggages and assisted us into our rooms ( fyi, we already spent 5 nights in El Nido before transferring to Puerto Prinsesa, booked 2 hotels there bec we extended one more night) and both of those hotels, carried our luggages and assisted us into our room. The time they assisted us was when we checked out, carried our bags and gave us a lift to...
Read moreThis is a very recommended hotel. We arrived a bit early (2am), they were really sorry our room was not available for an early check-in (obviously). So we slept in the beds in the pool area. They prepared a room for us around 8am, which was really really nice. They also, gave us a honey moon surprise with balloons and a little cute cake with a nice message from the hotel. Overall, I loved the staffs, they were so nice, helpful and always smiling. The best is 'Joy', a lovely Phillipino lady who was all smiles and was trying her Spanish with us, telling us 'Te amo' awwww 😍 This hotel has also the best food we have had in the almost the whole trip: a lot, affordable and yummy. The cocktails were Awesome, the best and cheap in comparison with the rest of Phillipines. We even have happy hour, 2x1 which haves us reallyyyy good cocktails for 150 pesos for 2 cocktails!
The rooms are huge and super clean! We got 2 Queen beds and they have proper Rain shower 😍😍😍
The downsides: Rooms in 2nd floor are really noisy. We could clearlt hear the busy reception (with the bell sound) from our room, really early in the morning. Agoda made a mistake with our booking and did not count the breakfast and instead gave us another useless deal. The hotel charged us for the breakfast, which was a a lot (1000 PHP for 2 people) for...
