Thalias is the most authentic Pho in Puerto Princesa. It is my favorite chaolong since childhood. Although recently the amount of rice noodle is lesser and the waiting got longer especially during dinner time (6-8pm). Still in terms of authenticity this the best pho. If you ask the people in Buncag or malvar area, this chaolong house has a lot of of memories. Since my college days on 2004 the taste of this chaolong house doesn't change really. I remember around year 2000 the establishment is still a grocery store called Kentroy. I didn't remember when it became Thalia's Chaolong. Its the best thing that happened as we experience this authentic Vietnamese noodle with a Palaweño twist. If you are a tourist going to Palawan you need or its a must to try Thalias Chaolong. Not only here but also try the different chaolong houses that you can see that pop up evewhere in Puerto and Palawan as it only differs from the taste. The uniqueness of Palawan is in our diversity and the addition of Vietnamese culture makes it more interesting. The food especially because as they say the best way to experience the local culture is to taste what they eat. And chaolong is the best example because its a fusion of culture and it makes...
Read moreYou absolutely must try the Chaolong noodles if you're a tourist visiting Palawan. Including the several chaolong houses in the area of Puerto Princessa or Palawan, in addition to here at Thalias Chaolong. The true Vietnamese noodle experience with a Palaweno twist, they said, is offered in Palawan. This is the first chaolong I've ever had; it tastes like pho and is extremely reasonably priced. Great soup; I had the pork buto-buto. The rice-based noodles are delicious. You're in the perfect place if you enjoy noodle soup with a sweet style broth. There is nothing special about their french bread; it is just a standard sandwich. The setting is in the traditional carinderia style, is unventilated, and perhaps with the addition of extra lights to make the area brighter, it will be more appealing and be able to draw in...

The staff are really friendly and cheerful towards customers each giving a good hospitality and friendliness that gives such a warm vibe.
Downside, the atmosphere is really hot, next to loud traffic and the place seems to be really old and dusty that gives a vintage old feeling that everyone adores.
Overall, I recommend trying this small little restaurant. 8/10 (I apologize for not providing any photos, stay...
