I recently had the opportunity to revisited Hotel Mikka in San Fernando, La Union, five years after my first stay. While the building appeared well-maintained and new, the overall experience left much to be desired. I can't help but feel that the hotel has remained stuck in the past, with a creepy ambiance reminiscent of the 80s. Upon entering the rooms, I couldn't shake off the eerie feeling that enveloped the entire hotel. The lack of maintenance was evident as the rooms seemed untouched since my last visit. Dust accumulated on various surfaces, giving the impression of neglect. The bed, in particular, was noticeably old and uncomfortable, while the off-white blankets did little to inspire confidence in their cleanliness. The overall impression was that of an aging hotel struggling to keep up with the times. In terms of pricing, Mikka Hotel does offer a relatively cheap stay. However, if affordability is the primary concern, I would recommend considering other options, which provides better rooms at an even lower price point. Another letdown during my stay was the front desk personnel. Their lack of friendliness and hospitality was disappointing. It would have been nice to receive a warm welcome or some assistance during my stay, but unfortunately, the staff seemed disinterested and indifferent. If you are someone who values ambiance, cleanliness, and updated amenities, Hotel Mikka may not be the ideal choice for you. While it may have its advantages, such as being conveniently located near the transportation terminal, the overall experience is marred by the creepy vibe and lack of maintenance. In conclusion, my recent stay at Mikka Hotel reaffirmed my initial impression from five years ago. The hotel still exudes a sense of horror and feels frozen in time with its outdated decor and unkempt rooms. While the cost of stay is relatively low, there are other budget accommodations available in the area, such as Sogo Hotel, which provide better rooms and service at a similar or lower price. If you prioritize accessibility and are willing to overlook the eerie atmosphere, Mikka Hotel may suit your needs. However, for those seeking a comfortable and modern stay, I recommend exploring other options in San Fernando, La Union.

This was one of the most uncomfortable hotel stays I’ve ever had, if I could just rate my stay as NO star, I would do that. My employer booked me for a week in this place, I couldn’t even describe how old this hotel looks like, it’s looks and feels more of an inn than a hotel. The flight of stairs was a nightmare. Although the room was small, it was fine with me. What threw me off was the dim lighting and outdated design that gave it a rather unsettling, almost creepy atmosphere. The air conditioning unit was extremely loud, making it nearly impossible to sleep. So loud it could star in its own rock concert. On my first night at this hotel, I had a disturbing and frightening experience. While I was taking a shower, I noticed someone watching me through the window. When I screamed, the figure quickly left. I believe it was a person, and based on where it was positioned, it could have been someone from the other building or possibly the guard on duty. Regardless, this made me feel unsafe and asked to be booked somewhere else. I cannot recommend this place to anyone who values their safety and privacy. If you’re staying in San Fernando, I would suggest that you check other options especially if you’re going alone. Overall, not worth the price or the lack of comfort.

I fell on the false advertising thats why I booked. Our experience: 1. It's a very old building located in SF's busy street 2. No parking, only about 5 slots infront 3. No elevator, all stairs 4. Room is scary. We got two paid rooms via Agoda but just decided to stay in 1 as the room didn't give a nice vibe. 5. Beds are old, over-used 6. Cr is big but dirty 7. Theres hot/ cold shower but pressure is REALLY low 8. Water is dirty like yellowish. don't use it for toothbrushing. 9. Towels have holes. 10. Too much noise from the street; it is beside a bus terminal, so theres a lot whistling and honking happening every hour 11. Building definitely needs complete renovation. 12. They charge P100 for every hour you extend. The advertised picture? It's not how it looks.

We arrived late at night since the hotel is next to the bus station we decided to check in here. The hotel has no security guard and no one to assist us with our baggage. Before arriving at the reception area, we had to take the flight of stairs and since there's no one to assist us with our bags we had to carry them plus i was carrying my son, plus I'm also asthmatic. (Not advisable for senior citizens, asthmatic, toddlers, and with plenty of hand carry baggage). The room rate has increased from 1,3k to 2,200 for an ordinary room. Take note: there's no amenities such as swiming pool, gym or beach for charging such an expensive rate. to summarize: CONS:||- P2k plus for an Ordinary rooms and dusty||-no other ameinites/ facilities||-small serving breakfast||-no secutiy guard, no assistance with the baggage||-Weak Wifi connection||-zero customer service satisfaction! Everytime I'll ask the receptionist she had NO KNOWLEDGE or NO CLUE. She will everytime consult with other people. She always replied " wait lang po ha tatanongin ko po muna" even the time of their breakfast serving she don't know. That's no excuse if she's new dapat na train na sila even the basic stuff.||||PROS:||- strong shower ||||We should have stayed for 2 nights because of business reason. However, we cut our stay in the hotel due to the above reasons. Never staying here again. For a rate their giving it's...

Worst Hotel in Phillipines after 2 months of travel.||I tried to find the positive things but it was not possible.||We book for a matrimonial bed and we have been transfer to the old room but it was not precise on internet if you are in the new or the old one. ||1) Reception and hall: grey, not color, look's like a jail, this is the only place where there is wifi. Wifi was to supposed to be in our room,I still try to find it.|The employe show us the room and run away we didn't have the time to say anythings.||2) The bedroom: I Don't by where i can realy start.|The floor: grey with dirt.|The wall: is crack, and the are screws in the wall. This is like a room of 1950.|The bed: Tear, tiny, noisy, skimy ( like a rusks) and of course not confortable.|The tv: ( a bad joke ) it is so tiny, same size as a minitel (13p), 1970 tv.|The AC: noisy as a factory.|Window: Full of dust, spider net and view of the front grey wall.||3 ) The bathroom: The horror museum continue.|It smell the sewers.|The door: do not close correctly because the frame is too small.|The shower: disgusting it have never been clean proprely, the shower head is broken, and the curtain is so dirty and also moldy,|ants every where.||4) Laundry : We paid 600 pesos for less than 3 kg. I have never paid such expensive for this. Usualy i paid 50 pesos per kg.||To conclude: we paid 1000 pesos to have a hotel of the 60's delabrer,...
