The Food Cartel - San Fernando City — Restaurant in San Fernando

We love dining here especially during sunset to dinner time. We used to dine in their indoor restaurant only but since learning of their tables and place by the beach, we've chosen the outdoors part especially in December where the beach and the breeze complete the vibes. There's no need to go to Urbiztondo with this restaurant so near the waves and views of La Union waters. Their food options are also top tier for families and friend groups. From pasta to lutong bahay, fruit shakes to coffee, they have it. And the prices are affordable! There's room for improvement in their serving time and sinigang ingredients. Still, I would recommend eating here when you and your family pass by La Union. PS. they have the cutest cat going to each table 10/10 great experience.

Edit: In the summertime, it's warm on the outdoors area. If you'd rather be comfortable, their indoors is better even in the evening. Lots of people also bathe at the beach then...

Been coming to Food Cartel almost every year (from original location in Pagdaraoan)when am on vacation from abroad however this time I am really disappointed with the food. Bulalo is too salty though the meat is soft and veggies are just right. I also ordered Halo Halo and requested to be serve right away but then the Halo Halo is already watery and you can see few crushed ice and seems it was prepared long time. The Shripon taste is okay but it was overcooked. Only I love the dinakdakan. The service (food server)seems to be trainees and don’t know how to handle customer service. I just asked basic questions like how much more time needed for the food to be prepared she answered me she don’t know which is obviously she should have asked the kitchen then she came back and answered me because the other table came before us. I think she’s not understanding my question.She never get back to me and only till I went to ask in the cashier area...

Had a bad experience there yesterday had a lunch there with my sis ordered their shripon, boodle meal set, and a pitcher of lemonade which doesnt have a cover that a fly went in our drink when we tried to make them replace it because it was not our fault it was contaminated since they did not provide a cover but unfortunately they did not replace it because they said it was already served uhhh what kind of reasoning is that it was negligence on their part a simple cover for the pitcher will prevent this incident to happened nakakawalang ganang kumain will never go back there...
