We stayed here for a couple of days. The main attractions are ofcourse the garden, the treehouse and the shower. The rooms are nice and spacious and located on the 1st floor. The entire ground floor is a shower/bathroom and a sitting area with a swing. Be aware that if you have to visit the lavatory at night then you have to go downstairs where people can see you. And the shower has only cold water, no issue when it's warm. We had a visitor in our bathroom as well, a large Gecko. Part of the experience and useful against bugs. The service is great and they are very friendly, they offer breakfast in house and you can even get it delivered to your room. During the day they come by multiple times with a refreshing drink or a snack. We rented a scooter to go around the island, this was done on a daily basis on a fair price. A thing to note: We did however have multiple blackouts/brownouts even during the days. They have a generator which gets enabled so people have power and lights, after a certain time they stop doing this because the generator is noisy. They don't use this after like 21:00 or 22:00, and turn it back on at 07:00... something like this, dont pin me on the the exact time The air-conditioning doesn't work after black/ brown outs and on the generator. So I haven't slept as well as I would like to. Would definitely...

Disappointed Anniversary Stay

We had high hopes for our anniversary getaway, but unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. We booked a villa but were instead placed in a “treehouse” upon arrival. While the concept might appeal to some, it was not what we reserved. The design was primitive, with the bed upstairs and the bathroom downstairs. To make matters worse, the air conditioning did not work.

When I reported the issue to the reception desk, I was told they would “look at it tomorrow” with no offer of an alternative room or immediate assistance. We endured an uncomfortable night with little sleep.

The following evening, we were finally moved to the villa we had originally booked. However, the manager’s response was underwhelming—they only refunded the difference in price and dismissed our concerns, even claiming we had set up the air conditioner incorrectly.

This experience fell far short of expectations, especially for a special occasion. We would not recommend this place to others based on their poor customer service and failure to resolve...

We had a great stay overall! Renting a scooter to explore the island was super convenient, especially since it was available directly on-site. Having a scooter is definitely a must, as restaurants and other amenities are quite far from the location.

Just a heads-up for those with limited mobility—the steps leading to the bedroom are quite steep, and the shower is located downstairs, which might be challenging for some. The only real downside for us was the lack of hot water during our stay.

Still, it’s a lovely place to relax and enjoy the island at your own pace!

One important tip: when booking a taxi (tricycle) through the hotel, be sure to ask for the price in advance. The driver who took us from the pier to the hotel charged us an extra 150 pesos, which felt like a scam. While it wasn’t about the extra money, it was more about...

We loved our stay at MandalaTribe. It was super pretty and relaxing. My wife and I had our hut and our friend Michael had his own hut and was all alone because he’s waiting for THE ONE. could you be THE ONE? Go find Michael. I enjoyed the bathrooms. Pooping while staring up at the sky is such a nice feeling. I kind of wish that there were restaurants and bars that were closer to us. We were kind of off the beaten path which is a nice thing because it was quiet except for some karaoke parties which didn’t bother us that much. You definitely need to rent a scooter but I kind of wish they had bikes too! Regular old bikes would’ve been nice if you didn’t want to gas around in the near by neighborhoods.
