Wonderland. There are no words that can truly capture the essence of this place. It is a dream woven into reality, a world so enchanting that leaving feels impossible. I am utterly captivated, longing to hold onto every moment, every sensation, as if it were a secret too precious to share—yet at the same time, I want to shout its beauty to the world.
This place is more than a destination; it is a feeling, a heartbeat, a hidden sanctuary where Alice herself would have found her meraviglie. A rabbit hole where one can disappear and meet all the creatures of the earth, where colors dance, beauty unfolds, and strangeness becomes art. There are no perfect words to describe it, but if one must exist, Wonderland is the only one that comes close.
We fell in love with this place, and we know we will return. The food, the people, the atmosphere, the soul of this space—everything is imbued with magic. But above all, it is the symphony of the forest that lingers in my heart, the nocturnal orchestra of unseen creatures singing under a sky so rich with stars that it feels like the universe is whispering its secrets.
Here, I found a community like no other. Each dinner felt like a gathering of kindred spirits, where laughter and stories wove us together in ways I never imagined possible. I have never met so many incredible souls in such a short span of time, never felt so deeply moved by the kindness and purity of those around me. You are extraordinary, and I am grateful beyond words for the beauty you create in this world. Thank you for being exactly as you are—for embracing life with such gentle love and for sharing that warmth with all who find their way here.
I did not know such a place existed. But now I do. I started to believe in magic.
And though the dream has ended and reality calls me back, a part of me will always belong to this Wonderland, forever intertwined with its spirit, its stars, and the family I found within...

I stayed here for 3 nights in one of the tents. The tent has a thick mattress which takes up most of the space. Over that is a mosquito net, which works well as I never got bitten by any mosquitoes while sleeping or just in the tent. There's a fan to help cool things down. During the day, the fan doesn't really help much, but at night it's much cooler and the fan works well enough to let a Scotsman sleep.
The toilet/bathroom are also a rustic experience. It's basically an artistically designed wooden shack. It's all clean, and in general the staff do keep all the common areas clean and tidy. The water pressure is pretty low (but that's a general problem in Siquijor).
The attached Vegan restaurant is fantastic. As a vegetarian, I really appreciated having so many choices in a local restaurant and one with so many great options. Many of the dishes seem to be Korean or East Asian inspired. I especially liked the K-Pop Bowl and Nourish Bowl.
The only poor thing about the place is the Wifi. The WiFi is terrible. In 3 days, it barely worked. While it was good to disconnect, I need to booked onward hotels and ferries.
Overall, I had a very good stay bar the WiFi. The staff are fantastic and the volunteers provide great activities for guest such as yoga, art and other social activities. Wonderland has such a great common area where you can just chill out. The location is close to Paliton Beach, although some form of transport is required if you need to travel outside...

I spent in total 4 nights at this wonderful place but was during my time on Siquijor nearly daily at the facility! And there were multiple reasons for coming back :)
Accommodation: PRIVATE - CLEAN - NATURE I stayed in a small and large hut because I extended my stay while I was there. The huts give you after weeks of backpacking some nice privacy! They do not have ACs but a fan, which is more than sufficient and come with a mosquito net. The bigger huts are great for two people and provide a lot of space.
Food: CREATIVE - HOMEMADE - VEGAN The menu at the restaurant gives a great variety of hearty and sweet dishes. All ingredients are homemade (kimchi, tacos, etc.) which you can definitely taste! All dishes are vegan which is great after coming across a lot of pork when traveling in the Philippines.
Activities & People: WELCOMING - INCLUSIVE - FUN Wonderland offers two free workshops per workday ranging from Yoga, dance to writing sessions without registration. Anyone (hotel guests or outsiders) can participate which offers a great opportunity for people to connect. Volunteers are preparing and hosting the workshops and the schedule is changing weekly. The community dinner (open for everyone) is a great chance to meet new people which I really enjoyed!
I spend only 4 nights at wonderland because the place was booked out. Nevertheless I was always genuinely welcomed to hang around which i highly appreciate! The people working in front and behind the scenes make this place so special 🥰 Can only recommend this place - nothing less! Thanks to everyone making my time...
