My stay at Fable was nothing short of enchanting. Beyond the cozy bunks and vibrant common areas, what truly made my time here unforgettable was the magic of forming friendships that transcended borders, languages, and cultures.
From the moment I stepped into the lively lobby, I was welcomed by their lovely dogs( Agra is my favorite), and by my fellow travelers from every corner of the globe. What started as casual introductions quickly blossomed into deep connections, fueled by shared adventures and late-night conversations- at the family dinner and by the bridge.
One of the most magical aspects of Fable was its ability to bring together individuals with diverse backgrounds and interests, yet a shared passion for exploration and discovery. Whether swapping travel tales over a communal dinner or teaming up for impromptu excursions to nearby landmarks, every interaction felt like a glimpse into a world where differences were celebrated and curiosity was the common language.
What truly stood out during our stay was the genuine warmth and camaraderie that permeated every corner of the hostel. From the staff who went above and beyond to ensure our comfort to the fellow guests who became instant confidants, there was an unmistakable sense of belonging that made Fable feel like a home away from home. (Shout out to Ervin, Jenny and Micqua, you guys are amazing).
In the end, my stay at Fable wasn't just about the comfortable beds or the convenient location—it was about the transformative power of human connection. Through the magic of friendships old and new, I discovered that the true essence of travel lies not just in the places I visit, but in the people I meet along the way. And for that, I will forever be grateful to Fable for creating the perfect setting for these unforgettable moments. Kudos!

Read moreExtremely disappointed with our stay here with the worse front desk team I’ve come across in my years of travel. We chose this hostel due to the amazing reviews however, the service from the team was non existent. It felt like we were disturbing them from their hang out time with each other and didn’t feel like anyone worked there. They lack any sense of customer service and are always on their phones and lying around the social area (which has limited seats) as if they were the guests. When we did ask for help or assistance on anything (very minor), the guy with the long hair would always seem annoyed that we even approached him. He would roll his eyes, and barely respond to us. We said thank you when we asked him to turn the AC on at 5pm as per their rules and he completely ignored us and walked out of the room in an angry manner so he can go back to doing nothing on his phone. The other girl would do her gym workouts in front of the reception blocking guests from approaching and was also lacking in any warmth or kindness. It was a very hostile environment, the opposite of what you expect from a hostel.
The whole place felt weird and cold because of these people at the reception, it’s as if they don’t want you to be there and they never greet you or smile. The only nice person there was Estelle who was very helpful and attentive, the guard and the housekeeping team but if you want to keep up your good reviews, you should assess your front desk team who made us feel unwelcome and uncomfortable.

Read moreThe hostel that made me feel like family! As a solo traveller, it never made me feel solo. After a long day of my own itinerary around Siquijor, we went dinner together in different budget-friendly restaurants with different cuisines. Best was we also partied together! I have made so much friends here that made me extended my stay! The hostel has full information of what you can do in the Island and plus the schedule of all the ferries. You can rent a scooter with them and they assist to book you a trike/Tuktuk if you need one. In my own opinion, you MUST rent a scooter to go around the Island. It’s easy to drive on the road anyway, not that busy. Moreover, free breakfast with good brewed coffee!! If you are a dog person, you will never miss a day of cuddle from Agra and Gozo (I missed them already :( ) The dorm room's clean and spacious the you can easily move around and organize your stuff. Lockers were also available. Bed was comfy and with curtain. Toilet's clean and showers were great one with hot water. Also, the area’s well-located near Paliton Beach and very well-secured! As a digital nomad who needs high speed internet connection for work, WIFI’s AMAZING and the common area was great to work at cause it was relatively quiet! Haven't had an inch of issue with video calls/uploads/downloads. Thanks to Phil, the hostel keepers, the security man and most especially to Ervin for a great stay! I will definitely be...
