it’s been about 5 months since I stayed here, but even after all this time I feel like see-kee-hor deserves a review. The rooms were simple and clean. No lockers but my room was only 4 beds & I only ever had one roommate at a time as it was slow season. The aircon worked great. The bathrooms were hostel bathrooms, not great but kept fairly clean. The cafe has amazing food & coffee. Every single thing I tried I loved, both filipino & western. I’m a picky eater & literally every single thing was delicious. The hummus with pita??? Lord have mercy. Also the staff were some of the coolest people I met while in the Philippines. The owner is super chill & all the Worldpackers volunteers were wonderful people who I still keep up with on socials. One of the volunteers even taught me how to drive a motorbike as I’d never driven one. It’s a bit far from everything but that’s no problem with a bike (or a friend with one). Walking distance to the calmer side of a gorgeous beach. Plus it’s nice and quiet since it’s further from the bars. Overall I had a fantastic stay at see-kee-hor. If I come back solo, I’ll definitely stay here.

HIGH QUALITY & FRIENDLY STAFF Nice portions for the price, I normally feel like my stomach is left longing for more when I eat Filipino-sized meals but this place was perfect in terms of plate size. The coffee is served in a cute little French-Press and was the best coffee I've had since being in the Philippines. That's in comparison to the instant all-in-one pouches found everywhere so absolutely no competition in that area. Good place for Breakfast and Lunch plus it was the only place I noticed had bagels although I didn't really look for them elsewhere. They seem to be growing some of their own vegetables and herbs in the yard next to the eating area. On top of being visually apealling it's an added value to know that quality ingredients are being used. You can see the Cheese-topped Chicken Panini in the picture attached to this review. It was simply amazing with half the panini covered with a basil pesto and the other half with a sundried tomato pesto. Thank you very much See-Kee-Hor Café! I will be back!

I have been here 4 times already! At breakfast I had the tastiest eggs and bacon with their toasted home made bread. As for my husband he had a smoothie bowl, which was too liquid for a bowl, the granola had too much sugar and the presentation was pretty average. As for lunch I had this mouth watering beef birra taco… omg it was something!! I don’t usually eat meat but I had a feeling they would do it well here and they do.. it’s slow cooked meat. I asked for extra sweet potato fries/wages.. love them (hand made). You can’t find them on the menu, but they exist. I would suggest adding some sauce with it (like a garlic/yogurt mayo). Also.. their hummus dip is delicious, has a garlic after taste. Next time it’s the pizzas trial. The service is kind and efficient, nice seating outset and cool music. Prices are reasonable. Could add other vegetarian options to the menu. Btw you can pay by card with an additional fee of 3,5%. See you next time.

This is Restaurant review:

I loved this place for nice vibes and really good food.... until last visit. Why?

Service was very bad, I don't expect red carpet but for the first time I felt unwelcome. I had to pick the menu myself, after several Minutes I ordered my food at the counter as waitress didn't bother to come to take the order. Again had to go to the counter to ask the service water. Clearly the cashier was busy with her baby and other floor staff not to pay attention to the guests (only two tables). Really bad experience compared to previous visits. I noticed the floor staff is all new. Oh and I had to take the bill and cash and walk to the cashier again to pay as waitress wasn't bothered to pick the payment from my table.

Service:0 stars

Food still great and fairly priced as before. Kitchen still doing well.

Restaurant is the experience not only food, I will not go there anymore because of ignorant floor staff... there is plenty more restaurants around.

Will miss...
