Awesome little resort! My girlfriend and I enjoyed 4 nights here. The staff was absolutely wonderful. The indoor outdoor bathroom was really cool but could use a little maintenance but it didn’t take away from anything. The grounds are like a little oasis and their dogs and cats that roam the property are super friendly and just add to the whole experience. Complementary French press coffee as well as a limited breakfast menu offered each morning was good and very convenient. They also have affordable scooter rentals that we took advantage of. My girlfriend and I were wondering around town and one of the employees recognized us and went out of her way to say hello❤️ that should tell you enough about the level and dedication to the service you’ll receive. The only downsides were the water was randomly shut off so showering was difficult at times and the pool water wasn’t something I wanted to swim in despite the employees diligently cleaning it each and every morning while we were there. I suspect it has to do with the lack of proper chemicals and I believe the lack of water situation was something beyond their control so I don’t feel comfortable removing any stars. The area around the pool had several nice spots to chill and the fact I didn’t really want to swim in the pool was not a big deal because a 5 minute walk down the road is the best beach on the island with many vendors selling food, cold beer, mixed drinks, Buko and Souvenirs… also super friendly. I would recommend this place to anyone and look forward to...
Read moreI totally NOT recommend this place! Yes, the infrastructure is very good but management is just irresponsible and you might have bad surprises ruining your vacation.
We came to Siquijor to celebrate my birthday and booked here because all pictures and reviews were so good. But arriving there was a huge party going on on the hotel with kids in the pool and loud music until late night, apparently they lended the hotel for a local to host the party. Besides that there were no water in the hotel this first night, and restaurant is closed so just a not happy welcoming.
They apologized for the party and fixed the water pump the next day. But on these day also arrived a huge family that booked all the other rooms and a house back in the hotel, and they acted as the hole place was only theirs. Loud music and pool party until 1am, people yelling all the time to each other and so on.. what I can really understand because they were in their vacation and had the place for them.
What I cannot understand is how the manager accepted our booking on same date when she landed the hotel for a local’s birthday party and also when she had a hole family arriving to the place. I could tell we had bad luck but for me this was just irresponsible of them.
On the third day we got our money back (we had more three other days on the island) and moved to another hotel. And I can tell you, for the money they charge there is MANY great places around the island where you are also well treated and people know what...
Read moreThe bathroom is amazing. Breakfast was the best and my favorite was the Papaya. Breakfast was included for 2 so I invited my tour guide to eat the extra breakfast. The staff is very friendly and they even helped me hang my laundry. The pool was also refreshing and my only complaint is that the pool lights can be dark. When I was swimming at night the pool light would cycle colors and go dark then bright again. You can also rent a motor bike from the staff. Internet was good once I logged into the correct wifi. My Filipino phone stopped working on this part of the island so you might want to get 2 phones from each major carrier just in case. The beach is a 10 minute walk in sandals. There is a family sari sari convenience store halfway to the beach if you get thirsty. And the beach was filled with different vendors. On the main road there are also other stores and a bakery. Next door to Becano is a Vegan bar that was hopping. I could hear the Vegans laughing and singing at dinner time so check it out. I met the owners and they were very friendly. There is a billiard table...
