Booked via Booking.com for an overnight stay. They were very accommodating and agreed to move my reservation without having to cancel and rebook.
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the place. The display of books that would welcome you is a great sight to see, but I feel saddened about the weathered condition of the books.
There are a lot of wall hangings and decor that are really pretty, thematic, and unique, but are worse for wear. They have flags hanging along the entrance that represents a few nations, but I feel that this and their outdoor curtains need a well-deserved wash.
The room was very clean and smelled nice. There is a bathroom inside the room, but it's not a fully closed bathroom--it had this saloon-type doors that would swing back. It doesn't have a shower, just a pail and dipper, but they provided a water heater for use if it got too cold (and it does!)
Toiletries and tissue paper were provided as well. The toilet seat is pretty flimsy but they have good water pressure. The AC unit is quite old and isn't a perfect fit with its slot, but if you can live with that, you're all good.
They have a cozy restaurant and you can choose to either sit on their sofa or several tables. Vintage books and items are on display, again their aquariums need a good cleaning because the water is pretty green and murky. Everything seems to have collected a coat of dust or probably ash from the recent volcanic eruption nearby.
I would book again. The place is quiet, relaxing, and cozy. The food is really really tasty. They have wifi, but it's pretty erratic, and mobile data isn't amazing, but if you want to detach from society and technology, come and meet Marius himself and have a great...
Read moreThe location was just where I needed it, the staff and the owner was very accommodating.
It is near premier mall and is within a walking distance to the major restaurants and establishments. Though the proximity is close to the main highway, do not worry about the noise as it is one street away from the main highway.
It is a quaint little B&B with a plethora of animals that adds to the charm of the place. Not to mention the abundance of plants within the vicinity. You could tell that they really stick to the ambiance of the place, a vintage ambiance that is.
Got back at the hostel quite late and was surprised that one of the staff was waiting for me there to open the door. Service and security was definitely achieved on my stay.
Disliked · As mentioned above, the B&B was a lot of flora and fauna so expect the insects.
With this, note that there are mosquitoes flying and fly up and about. Though you could see that they try to mitigate this with the "traditional katol" there will still be stragglers flying. So be prepared for this and perhaps buy some anti mosquito lotion like I did for comfort and...
Read moreAn absolute hidden gem tucked away in Silang proper. We stayed the night and each had a massage, which was fabulous, big shoutout to the girls from Mon Amour Nail Salon for a very relaxing massage. Breakfast is included, I had tocino, egg and rice, Mercy had longganisia, egg and rice. The food is delicious, we also had dinner there the night before and as well as being delicious and generous servings was very reasonably priced. Marius and his family and staff are very nice and accommodating. The spa/cafe has a very rustic feel with the decor which is very much my taste, lots of paintings, ecclectic sculptures and other forms of artwork. The gardens are very nice with lots of different plants in the ground and hanging in pots. We will absolutely be coming back here for another overnight stay. Thank you Marius and family/staff for a wonderful...
