Writing or reading a review is a tricky thing because both the reviewer and the reader relate the written experience to their expectations, which might be totally different.||E.g. what is cheap to one might be expensive to another and vice-versa. The same applies virtually to everything e.g. luxurious, tasty, stunning …||Therefore I always organize my review to list the things we liked/disliked about reviewed subject and leave it to you to apply those to your expectations to decide how you would rate the same.||||We stayed at this hotel for one night in March 2018 and occupied a superior room (one with kitchenette and sitting area).||||The Location: The hotel has a very good location. ||||Check-in and checkout: Courteous staff creating a good check-in/out experience. ||||The Room: The room was very spacious with two small comfortable beds, kitchenette , sitting area and dinning table. ||||The beds: the beds are too narrow for two people staying together. However for a couple they are OK only if you join them together.||||The bathroom: Large and comfortable bathroom.|| ||The Meals: Excellent breakfast with a wide selection of cold cuts, smoked salmon and other fish types, hot selection, various breads, sweats, ..itc. We found the offered breakfast to be better than that offered in much more expensive places elsewhere in the world.||||The pillows: huge uncomfortable pillows that spoil you sleep.||||Others: no handkerchiefs in the room or bathroom||||Advice to management: Offer two thinner pillows per guest instead of current ones. This will provide a good sleeping solution for most guests. Also add a small pack of handkerchiefs to the room or bathroom toiletry set; it is a tiny cost but makes a great difference to...

The most of the staff is friendly but be carefull, they might try to trick you. They gave me a room (103) which seemed to be on the streetside. I found out the next morning. Somewhere between 4:30 and 5 in the morning the tram starts to ride and you will hear it every 25 seconds. Loud! After being awake for some time, and not able to go to sleep anymore, I went to the reception in order to ask for a new room. I talked with the gentleman and told him that for sure I wasn’t the only one that complained. He acknowledged. However he said, someone has to have this room???? HUH? Are you kidding. He gave me a new room, 301, which was on the reverse side he said. Partly true, it is on the end of the corridor, still confronted with the sound of the trains. Less, yes, but still. My wife and I are currently staying at our apartment in Bydgoszcz. We normally eat out at Wernda, Meluzyna and Villa Calvados, but for Valantine's day I wanted to treat my wife to pampering. Hotel Sloneczyn Melyn came up on Google with spa treatment packages and my wife and I spent this morning in their spa followed by a meal in the restaurant. I have to say both the spa and dining experiences were absolutely fabulous. I cannot understand why this hotel is not listed with the other restaurants for fine dining. It is matches up in all respects withe the other three. We look forward to returning to both this spa and restaurant when we next return to our apartment in Bydgoszcz in the coming months, just as we look forward to eating in the other three restaurants.
