The Hotel itself is nice and you can see it's new. The Animation Ladies are nice as well and you can tell they enjoy their work. 👍 The dinners look and taste really good and seem to be healthy, breakfasts could be better. They do not ask if you would like something to drink during breakfasts and dinners, so you are not able to order anything different than offered (no beer, wine etc. during dinner) Location and the surroundings are good, but the access road is bad, especially in winter with almost no maintanance and taking a walk to Krynica is difficult. Parking is ok, the garages are not enclosed though. Rooms are pretty, but they look a lot bigger on photos. In reality they are small (we had a 2 bedroom suite). If you like hot showers, you won't get them as the water temperature does not rise when you try to adjust. The Spa is modern, but small for that size of hotel. There were not many people during our stay so it was great, but I cannot imagine it when the Hotel is fully booked. There are 2 hot tubs, one was shut down completely and the other one is operating from time to time depending on the weather outside (in the words of employees). Steam sauna was broken the whole time. Sauna experience is not the best as they have a non-strict policy so most of the people enter the sauna in swimwear - no sauna culture and not healthy. No cold bath (it was freezing outside so that along with snow was an option). We stayed during the pre-christmas week (Dec. 19 - Dec. 22) - we were looking for a christmas stay and atmosfere for the kids - we found nothing in this matter. Except the ordinary year-round children animation program from 9am to 2pm there was nothing to do. No christmas program, no live music for example, they were just starting to decorate the place and reconstructing/fixing stuff - the spa for example. The next-door ski slope was closed and not operating. The Wi-Fi - you need to register to the network via social media or e-mail, then you get comnected - most of the time it does not work, other time it is extremely slow so you just switch back to your personal data program. Value for money - not so good. 5 stars is just a dream and maybe, maybe a goal for the...
Read moreFacility is new, so there is no complaint possible on how rooms/hotel look except surroundings (looks like construction site - I parked my car beside a bulldozer on a hotel parking lot).|| In short: There are no standard 5 star hotel habits in the whole hotel. I did not meet a person from personnel who could meet this standard. Language skills are at zero level, even receptionists do not speak English on a level desired for a 5 star hotel. Every hotel consists of buildings, equipment and people and services. In this hotel you will get very nice, new and modern building, comfortable beds, modern equipment but services will be equal to a 2 star hostel.... If interested read the following examples.|| Our short stay started with a two-hour check-in procedure. We arrived early, so the hotel was not able to check us in (no problem with that) - but after two hours of telling "room is still dirty" (how HIGH English from receptionist in a 5-star hotel) I went upstairs and checked if there is a maid cleaning the room. But there was nobody in the room, so when I returned to the reception and with an angry voice said that I did not see any maid in our room and demanded to check in, the receptionist checked by phone and voila - room is was surprisingly ready for us... .|| After this only a few more highlights. Waiting time for a drink in the lobby bar is 20 - 40 minutes (no kidding), and it does not depend on how many people are in the bar. I have never seen such a disoriented bunch of people. Tables are not cleaned... after two hours in the lobby bar we had several empty glasses and plates on the table, without the waiter even noticing them.| And paying by card….. after 10 minutes and three tries on different card terminals I was finally able to pay….|| At the end of the stay, wife called me by the phone while I was having a breakfast, that at 9.00 AM maid knocked on the door and told them that she needs to clean the room ( maid telling guest to leave before check out time to leave the room...).|| Last thing (it happens sometimes and it is not the hotel's fault) but even a fire alarm turned on during our...
Read moreI rarely leave reviews, especially negative ones, but in the case of the Belmonte Hotel I had to make an exception. I would like to address my dissatisfaction on the spot, but the hotel staff did not show the slightest interest in the feedback and the main goal on arrival and departure was to give a guest a short shrift and this is also connected with most of our negative experiences, which accumulated during the stay and caused us to have a disastrous impression of the stay and outweighed the pluses that we initially perceived, those were nice and clean rooms, tasteful furnishings and the overall concept of the hotel. We are also positive about the wide choice of food at breakfast. Nevertheless, we would not visit this hotel again and would not recommend it to others. In fact, apart from the aloofness of the staff, which we have had experiences with, two in particular, during which the receptionist behaved condescendingly towards my friend and tried to blame the whole situation, in which there was a misunderstanding, on the language barrier. The girlfriend explained the situation to him in English and again received only a rude reply, in which he portrayed her as the cause of the problem, who was incomprehensible (again, in the most unpleasant way possible). In hotels with this many stars, indeed even with a lower quality mark, a visitor clearly should not be experiencing this type of behavior and mistreatment, nor did we expect it and we were left surprised at the overall treatment of guests and obvious preference for other guests who were treated way better by the staff. The situation with the reception staff was repeated when we had nowhere to park (we had already paid for parking, but we had no space) and again, after addressing the problem, all we got was an unhelpful and unpleasant response and were offered no solution to the situation. Among other things, our apartment was cold all night despite the fact that we turned up the temperature several times and the hot water didn't come on (it wasn't even 9pm). All this in a five star hotel. This is a huge disappointment...
