We visited the hotel as a family during New Year's Eve and New Year.||Since we are tourists who run around the world and choose a 4-5 star hotel, we can judge the quality.||||The given hotel certainly does not have 4 stars, maximum 3 stars.||||Restaurant - very weak to weak selection of food. Especially dinners.||You will not find any food for children, although you will find children's cutlery and plates.||For a 4-star hotel, there is a larger selection or combination every night of pasta, chicken, pork or beef, meatless||As a side dish, only potatoes (no rice, pasta)||The soups were really tasty||||The service that was running was cold that collected dirty plates. Chasník who was running did not offer wine or beer for dinner. So the minimal option of minutes money and enjoy an otherwise nice restaurant with a view of the city.||||Those rooms have already experienced theirs. Musty, worn-out beds and dirty carpets (the photo says it all)||4-star hotels have a pleasant smell and a sense of cleanliness in the corridors, even if they are not new. The given hotel obviously did not have it.||||In the evening with children, you can use the disco in the basement. Very pleasant service, but definitely not a place for children||The hotel has a children's corner, but it closes soon and there is no bar nearby, so enjoying a moment of relaxation with a cup of tea or a glass of wine is lost.||||The wellness center was a pleasant experience. Even if it is smaller and for the size of the hotel, it will serve. For a nice environment, I was waiting for the possibility of a whirlpool in the outdoor environment.||||The bathroom was clean and cozy. There were soaps in the shower and at the sink. Well, 4-star hotels offer toothpicks and other cosmetic bags.||||I rate the New Year's Eve program and dinner well, it was festive, focused on Polish guests. I expected a little more international entertainment, but I understand that 99% of the guests are locals from the...
Read moreHotel Krynica used to be our go-to destination for the past 15 years, but after this recent stay, we won't be returning anytime soon.||Our the experience was filled with disappointments. |- Upon arrival, we discovered the restaurant was reserved for a company outing, and dinner was served in an outdoor dining area with a limited selection of dishes. This was not communicated during the booking process.|- The saunas were mostly out of order, with only one out of three functioning during our entire stay. |- On the second day, our room was not serviced or cleaned, and no one seemed to know why. |- The hotel bar was closed on the second day, and the bar area was occupied by the company outing. Additionally, the restaurant only offered semi-sweet or semi-dry red wines, with no dry wine options available. Moreover, while we were having drinks in the restaurant area (since the bar was closed), the staff turned off the lights as they left for the night, leaving us to sit in the dark.||The room itself had several issues: |- The radiators didn’t work, and it took two visits from maintenance to fix them. I spent two hours checking if the repairs were successful. And they were - but unfortunately only in short term. The issue reapppeared during the second night. |- Our room also had an unpleasant smell—possibly due to previous guests smoking or bringing animals. |- The safe in the room didn’t work, and neither did one of the TVs.||Overall, the hotel feels old and worn, with a clear lack of upkeep and attention to detail. It's evident that the owners are not prioritizing quality and there is no owner that would really care. This clearly adds to the ongoing discussion about the rationale behind state-owned enterprises in non-strategic sectors.||On the bright side, the reception management handled my complaints professionally. They contacted me to apologize both over the phone and in writing, which has been...
Read moreIf you're expecting a 4 star hotel you will be disappointed. Also if you're expecting anything that looks like a spa.
It is a 10 years old venue that didn't age well. The rooms are small, basic and need refreshing. They are clean though. I don't want to mention the spa area which shouldn't really be called that way. Dirty and old looking. The restaurant has been refreshed, but the menu is like cheap chain hotel trying to be modern (which is not far from reality). The breakfast selection is big but looks like taken from 10 years ago with filtered coffee, fruits that you need to cut yourself, and vegetables being used as garnish only. The bar area is just next to he entrance and just doesn't feel like spending there any time at all. The only pro of the place is the location/views and the kind staff that is trying to make this place offer more than it actually has to offer. BTW. Great job marketing team of the...
