I've made reservation one month in advance for the room with the access for the person with disability. Upon arrival I was told that my room is not available because of some technical failure. Instead, I was given small room under the roof. My father in law has difficulty walking the stairs and the room I booked initially had a direct access from the elevator. To access a new room, he has to climb several stairs!!! The room itself is small and dinghy. There was constant humming from nearby ventilation in this room. The restaurant in the hotel doesn't accept card. It's cash only and Euro/PLN rate is not good. At time of my arrival there was some conference in the hotel. The parking place is middle size but it's free. The reception team was friendly even though they were not able to offer me the room I've booked. To compensate the free breakfast was offered for my...
Read moreIt is a decent, clean hotel in the center of Słubice. The breakfast is pretty good, and the coffee is fine. Rooms are modern, newly renovated, and the beds are quite comfortable. There are plenty of electric sockets for all digital nomad's needs.
Minor issues/considerations: the Wi-Fi is really poor! In the evening, it is impossible even to load Facebook - likely as a result of many people connecting. This time and age, this should be resolved ASAP. there is no shampoo! Or rather, the liquid present in the soap dispenser under the shower does not appear to be shampoo and I would not use it on my head. there is not much closet space - you can hang a couple of shirts, but no drawers. Bathroom shelf space is also very limited.
Overall, it is fine, especially for the location, but some minor touches here and there would make the value proposal so...
Read moreStayed at Hotel Kaliski for one week earlier this month.||I found the hotel very good value. The Reception staff were most helpful and spoke english very well. ||The rooms were clean and well maintained. The housekeeping staff came every day, cleaned the rooms and left fresh towels. ||The location is excellent. Right in the centre of town near local shopping and restaurants. Also, only few minutes walk to the bridge over the river Oder and Frankfurt.||My only criticism (constructive hopefully) was the bar and restaurant service- at times it was really, really atrocious. On one occasion it took one hour for a round of drinks to be served from the time they were ordered.|| Hopefully, the hotel will sort out the slow service in the bar/ restaurant as it is an enjoyable experience to stay at Hotel Kaliski and I would (some day) like to...
